this is my favourite type of comment. having stories that age really well is really important to me (chapter 89 was posted in 2018!) and to hear that what is effectively a robot soap opera is interesting enough to keep people not only reading it, but reading it multiple times, is honestly humbling
hi! this is totally out of nowhere, so sorry haha, but i have no smooth way to transition into this, so i'll just get into it!
when i was about 12 and 13 years old, i got super into portal, and started writing fic about it. you commented on most, if not all of my chapters i ever posted, giving me really thoughtful and constructive feedback. i just wanted to really, genuinely thank you for that kindness you showed me, since it really made an impression on me then as a young writer, and i still think back to it now as one of the most kindhearted interactions i've ever had online. thank you, truly!!! i hope you're doing well! <3

there is not one word put anywhere in my stories that isn’t there 100% because I decided it’s the right word in the right place

Hey, I just wanted to say- I absolutely adore LaaC. I found it early in high school when it was only about 40 or so pages, and I've been following it since then. It's part of what got me through some pretty tough times in my life, and honestly, i think it may be one of the best portal 2 fics out there. If Blue sky is the definitive Chelley fic, LaaC should be the definitive WheatDOS fic- And it deserves to be just as well-known. Keep up the amazing work :)
40 pages?! That WAS a long time ago! Honestly though it’s so weird to have a fic where people can say ‘I grew up with this’. I’m very glad to hear that it helped you!
Honestly, I’m happy with the popularity as-is. It’s an unpopular ship crossed over with an unpopular ship so really, my expectations from the audience are not that high. But it will always be the fic that shows up on top when you sort by wordcount and it’s got that going for it.
Also, it... actually IS the definitive WheatDOS fic as far as I know. Back when I started writing it, there were no fics like it. There might be some now (IDK, I don’t read fanfic anymore) but in 2013? WheatDOS was pretty much hateshipping. That was actually the reason I started writing LaaC: spite. So much spite.
