Lydia is goes through Stiles withdrawls as she goes through the school day when he's home sick.
yesssss i live for this
(and omg you sent me this forever ago and i just got around to finishing it also it got kinda long so if you wanna read more its under the break <3)
“Lydia you gotta stop calling him.” Scott says for the sixth time that day.
“He’s all alone Scott, what if he needs me?” She replies, phone pressed to her ear.
Scott takes the phone out of her hand and hangs up. “If he needs you he’ll call you himself. Anyway Lyds, it’s just a cold, he’s gonna be fine. Just let him rest.”
Lydia sighs. “Okay, okay. I just…miss him.”
“I know, but hey just three more hours, okay?”
Lydia gives him a small smile and nods. “Good, now help me with this Chemistry homework so I don’t fail?” Scott asks, knowing it will cheer her up.
“You know me too well Scott McCall.”
But Chemistry can only keep a girl happy for so long, as an hour later she was thinking about Stiles again. “Do you think he’s hungry? Scott what if he’s hungry? Who’s going to bring him food?”
“Lydia calm down. My mom’s bringing him soup during her lunch break.”
She nods anxiously. “Okay good. Just…just making sure.”
“Hey why don’t you eat a little more, I’m kinda worried about you.” Scott says, his eyes looking down at her half eaten lunch.
“I’m not the one you should be worried about!” Lydia argues.
“How can I not worry about you? I’ve seen Stiles sick, okay? He’s whiny, gross, and kind of a piece of shit. I understand that you’re anxious, okay? I remember once when Allison got the flu and I was freaked out too. It sucks to know someone you love is hurting but you gotta breathe. Besides you’re kinda scarry when you’re anxious.
“I’m…scary when I’m anxious? Do you think Stiles thinks I’m scary when I’m anxious?”
Scott just sighs and continues eating his lunch. He loves this girl but she was way past help at this point.
Could this stupid clock move any slower? Lydia was getting more and more impatient by the second.
Ten minutes. Ten minutes until she was out of this classroom and with her Stiles. Okay fifteen minutes if you counted her having to go to her locker for her books. Wait, no, twenty five minutes if you counted the drive to his house. Yeah, twenty five minuets, that sounds about right.
Lydia looks up at the clock again. Only thirty seconds had passed?
Ridiculous.
She lays her head down on her desk and begins to doodle Stiles in her notebook. Starting with his spiky hair that always looks like it’s covered in hair gel but is so extremely soft, then sketching his precious little button nose. Next she draws his lips, which are by far her favorite part of his body. She finishes drawing his neck and the moves onto his eyes. God, she loved his eyes so much. She can’t even explain how beautiful they are. They way they seem to sparkle when the sun hits them in just the right spot, or how they’re the color of caramel. And don’t even get her started on his-
The bell rings.
Scott doesn’t think he’s ever seen someone leave class so fast.
She feels immediate stress relief when she pulls into the Stilinski’s driveway. The jeep is the only car there so Lydia wastes no time in barging in the front door and making her way up to Stiles’ room.
Of course he’s sound asleep when she gets there, and Lydia can’t help but smile when she sees him. Sure his hair is sticking up in all directions, and his super pale complexion and feverish red cheeks are slightly worrying, but just seeing him puts a smile on her face.
She slips off her shoes and climbs in his bed, doing her best to be careful so she doesn’t wake him. She doesn’t even worry about the idea of getting sick as she snuggles up next to him.
“You’re crazy.” A sleepy voice comes from next to her. “You’re so gonna get sick.”
“Don’t even care.” Lydia hums as she scoots closer to her boyfriend. “You’re so warm.”
“Yeah well…that’s the fever.” He replies with a tired laugh.
“You feeling any better?”
“Now that you’re here, I feel amazing.”
“Really?”
“No…everything hurts. But you definitely make it better.”
“Well good because thats my job. Now tell me how I can make you feel better. A movie, back rub, maybe tea?”
Stiles just wraps his arms around Lydia and buries his face in her neck. “I got everything I need right here.”
Lydia smiles and gives him a quick kiss on the forehead.
Could you do #94?😍 But could you right it as if they were dating or married and sleeping in the same bed? By the way you writing is fantastic!!😍☺️☺️
94. “I had a bad dream again.”
Lydia wakes when she feels the bed move. She never new how light of a sleeper she was until she started sharing a bed with Stiles. The boy never stops moving. Never.
She turns to face him only to find him tangled up in the sheets, sweat beaded on his forehead and his hands clinched into fists. Lydia immediately knows what she needs to do.
She turns on the lamp on the bedside table and sits up. Carefully, she takes his hand in her’s and holds it tightly. Her other hand goes up and brushes his hair back from his face.
“Stiles,” She says, her voice calm but still loud enough to wake him. “you’re just dreaming.” She gently shakes his shoulder, making sure she doesn't startle him.
She releases a breath she didn’t know she was holding when his eyes flutter open. “Lyds?”
“Yeah babe, it’s me. You okay?” She lays back down, wrapping her arms around him, just trying to provide as much comfort as she can.
He presses his face into her shoulder and sighs. “I had a bad dream again.”
“I know, you wanna talk about it?” She runs her fingers through his hair, knowing it calms him down.
“No, not right now. Can we just...just lay here?”
“Of course”
“I love you Lyds.”
She presses a kiss to his forehead. “Love you more.”
post-6a lydia having nightmares of losing stiles again but he's there to comfort her?
another FANTASTIC prompt!! gotta tell you guys that i heckin’ loooove h/c fics like this so this was one of my faves!
Lydia never felt safer than she did when she was wrapped in Stiles’ arms. The feeling was mutual with the two of them, he was the little spoon most of the time after all.
But on nights when things got bad, when the voices in her head would be louder and the scars on her hip and temple would ache, she would always be the little spoon. No question, because those were the nights they both knew the nightmares would come. So he holds her tightly and practically rocks her to sleep. Hoping it would prevent them.
Unfortunately, tonight that wasn’t the case.
Her footsteps echo down a hallway. Where was she? It had the tile floors of the high school but the eery flickering lights of Eichen House. All she knew was that she wasn’t safe.
Searching everywhere for a friendly face, her breathing becomes erratic the longer she is on her own. Turning a corner, she finds Liam standing in the middle of the hallway.
“Where is he?” She asks. The sentence unexpected but clear in her mind. She’s talking about Stiles.
“Who? Who are you talking about?” Liam asks, his body far off into the distance but his voice right in her ear.
Before she can answer another voice comes from behind her, loud and shrill, causing her to flinch. “He isn’t real Lydia, there is no Stiles.” She turns to find the Sheriff and Claudia, their faces angry. The feeling of guilt washes through Lydia.
“B-But he is, he’s back. You can’t do this, please, he’s here!” Lydia cries, tears flowing down her cheeks. When did she start crying?
“THAT’S ENOUGH!” A new voice injects itself into the conversation. It’s Scott. “I CAN’T LET YOU DO THIS, LYDIA. STILES ISN’T REAL. HE NEVER WAS AND HE NEVER WILL BE, SO JUST GIVE IT UP!”
“No,” Lydia covers her ears and slowly walks away from the crowd. “no Scott not you, please. You can’t do this we just got him back!
“Well it wasn’t enough.”
She freezes.
“You couldn’t do it Lydia. It’s like you didn’t even try to get me back.”
“I did. I promise I did. I did everything you have to believe me!” She pleads.
“BUT IT WASN’T ENOUGH! DON’T YOU GET IT LYDIA. THIS IS YOUR FAULT!”
She slowly turns to face him. It’s him. It’s Stiles.
“Stiles I’m sorry. I-I tried so hard. I love you Stiles please just - just don’t go.
“No, no Lydia I’m afraid it’s too late for that. See, I was waiting and waiting and counting on you to come for me. But you didn’t. No one did. You don’t love me.” A hazy green glow forms a silhouette around him. “You don’t love me, Lydia. And you know what, I don’t love you either.” The glow grows bigger, and a strong wind bursts through the hallway.
“Stiles stop!” The wind blows faster and the glow shines brighter. “STILES PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME.” She reaches out to him but it’s too late, the glow swallows him back through the rift.
She jolts out of the dream as she cries out for Stiles. Sweat is beaded on her forehead and her stomach rolls, a nauseous feeling that makes her head spin.
It only takes Stiles seconds to wake up and know whats going on. “Oh Lyds.” He coos, sitting up and taking the whimpering girl into his arms. “Hey, It’s okay. I got you, just breathe.”
She grabs onto his shirt as more sobs wrack her body. “Lydia, nothing can hurt you baby. I’m right here.”
They stay like that for a few minutes, Stiles holding her and rubbing her back until the crying stops and her breathing slows to a normal pace.
He looks down at her, she’s staring at the wall, her eyes unfocused. “Hey beautiful, look at me.”
Her eyes flicker up to meet his. “There’s my Lydia.” He says, a soft smile on his face. “You wanna talk about it?”
She snuggles closer to him, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath. “Not right now.” She mumbles, the nauseous feeling threatening to come back with even the slightest thought of the nightmare.
“Shh, that’s alright.” He replies, giving her a kiss on the top of her head. “You think you can go back to sleep? It’s still pretty early.”
“I-I can try. But can…can I just stay right here?”
“Of course, Lyds. I’m not letting go.” He promises. “I’m never letting go.”
OMG please do number 8. I can totally see Lydia saying something like that the styles!!!! (Me again)
8. “You’re seriously like a man-child.”
Lydia didn’t think it was possible to lose her boyfriend. At least not in the middle of a Target. She swears she only looked away for two seconds to look at some pillows, and he was gone.
She had looked everywhere. Video game aisle, baseball aisle, she even looked in the aisle where they kept the frozen curly fries. Nothing!
There was only one more place he could be, and if he wasn’t there then she had to accept the fact that he was gone forever.
Thankfully there was no need to file a missing persons report this time. Standing in the middle of the Star Wars toy section, Darth Vader mask on and a glowing red lightsaber in his hand, was her boyfriend.
“Stiles.”
He lifts the mast off of his face and lowers the lightsaber. “Yes?”
“Why?”
“Because...it’s like really cool.” He says, and he is extremely serious.
“Okay well put it back we gotta go.”
He nods, putting the saber up.
“The mask too.”
“But Lydia-”
“No Stiles! Put it back!”
“Lydia please!” Stiles whines, clutching the mask to his chest.
Lydia knows that this conversation could go on forever, so she walks over, takes the mask from his hands, drops it in the basket.
With a huge smile on his face, he gives her a kiss on the cheek and thanks her over and over again.
“You’re seriously like a man-child.” She murmurs under her breath.
2. “Hey, hey, calm down. They can’t hurt you anymore.”
already did this one!
67. “You’re bleeding all over my carpet.”
“Stiles you need to rest, come sit down.” Lydia says, watching the boy pace her bedroom floor. The pack was under attack and Stiles had gotten pretty beaten up in the midst of the fight so Lydia had quickly gotten him to safety. So now she got the pleasure of listening to him bitch and moan.
“Rest? Are you kidding me? Lydia, Scott could be dying out there, I can’t just sit here and do nothing!”
“I’m not going to argue with you about this! Sit down!”
“Give me a reason Lyds, give me one good reason why I shouldn’t be out there helping my friends.”
“Stiles I could give you so many reasons but I’ll give you the most apparent one. You’re bleeding all over my carpet.”
Stiles looks down, and she was right. He had bled through his t-shirt and the blood was now dripping onto the floor. “Oh.”
Lydia quickly gets up and guides Stiles to her bathroom. He sits on the counter, wincing at the stinging wound on his abdomen, and lets Lydia take is shirt off. “Shit, Stiles that does not look good.”
“Yeah, now that you mention it, it really fucking hurts.”
Lydia looks at the wound, making a list in her head of everything she’s gonna need to fix it up. “I doesn’t look like it needs stitches, but disinfection and heavy bandaging is a must.” She rummages through her cabinets looking for some gauze and hydrogen peroxide.
He hisses in pain when she starts to clean the cut.
“Sorry sorry!” She says, trying to be as gentle as possible. She finishes cleaning and carefully applies the bandages. “Alright, I think you’re good.” She looks up to find him quickly dozing off against the bathroom wall.
“Hey, wake up.” She says softly. She helps him off the counter and into her bed.
“I’m sorry I got blood on the carpet.”
Lydia sighs and lays next to him. “It’s alright, with my record of bodies found and traumatic accidents I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner.”
“Thanks for cleaning me up.” He mumbles, almost asleep again.
Okay, can you plzzzzzzz write a fic where they go back to school after the whole ordeal and no one really knows that Stiles and Lydia are together, but it's game day so Lydia wears Stiles' jersey and everyone's like shocked (but not really) and in awe at how cute they are. Plus, cute couple-y Stydia walking each other to class, holding hands and kissing goodbye at the door. Ya feel?? Thank you ;)))))
Omgggg I love this prompt! You have no idea how much fun I had writing it! Sorry it too so long though! Hope you like it!
Technically they hadn’t made anything official yet. They hadn’t really gotten a chance, but within the time they were given to recuperate from the events of the past few months Stiles and Lydia couldn’t go a day without each other .
The Sheriff had his suspicions, Lydia was always over at his house, sometimes doing homework and other times laying on the couch with his son doing nothing in particular. But anytime Noah would bring it up to Stiles he would shrug and say “We just really missed each other.”
The day before school started they were both reading on his bed, sitting in a comfortable silence that neither of them bothered to break. It was nice to have quiet every now and then after all they had been through.
Stiles’ shifts his position on the bed to face Lydia. She looks up when he puts his book down. He smiles at her when they make eye contact.
“Good book?” He asks, his voice horse from not talking for a while.
She nods, marking her place and putting her book down as well. “It’s my third time reading it, so now I’m just going over specific plot points and analyzing how they affected each character.
That makes him laugh. “Of course you are.” She giggles in response.
“Hey, “Stiles clears his throat, seaming more nervous now than he was three seconds ago. “can I ask you something?”
She grabs his hand and intertwines their fingers. “Anything.”
“What…what is this? O-Or what are we?”
“Well, what do you think we are?” She asks, it’s not rhetorical, she’s really just curious.
“I mean…we both love each other, yeah? So I figured we’re something, it’s just we’ve never talked about it so I didn’t want to just…jump to conclusions.” She could tell he was getting flustered now. “Oh, shit I’m not even thinking am I. Do you even want to be a thing? Because it’s totally fine if you don’t want to. I just thought-“
Lydia presses her finger to his lips to shut him up. “Breathe. Are you saying you want to be my boyfriend?”
He keeps his mouth closed and nods profusely. “That would be nice, yes.” He says simply.
Lydia smiles and takes her finger away from his lips and replaces it with her lips. It takes him no time to kiss back.
He pulls back for a second. “So that’s a yes?”
All she does is pull him back into the kiss, and that was all the conformation he needed.
The next morning, Stiles rushes to get to school. Possibly breaking a few laws on the way, but hey, he had a girlfriend to get to.
He cant help the smile that appears on his face when he sees her at her locker, looking beautiful as always.
“God damn, somebody better pull the fire alarm because you are smokin’.” Stiles says with a smirk as he leans against the lockers.
Lydia smiles and rolls her eyes. “You know you already got me, there’s no need for the cheesy pickup lines.”
“Oh, babe there is always a need for cheesy pickup lines.”
“So you ready for the game tonight?” Lydia says, closing her locker and turning to face Stiles.
“Ready to play? No. That’s why I had to ask coach to bench me for at least two games. But am I ready to sit there and watch? Hell yeah.”
She reaches out and grabs his hand. “Well at least your enthusiastic.”
His eyes light up when he remembers what he has in his backpack. “Speaking of the game,” he reaches back and pulls out his lacrosse hoodie out of the front pocket. “I was thinking you could wear this tonight? I mean you don’t have to, you probably have some incredible outfit planed already, but I does get pretty cold out there so…if you wanted too…” His voice turns into a mumble and he starts to bush.
She happily takes the sweatshirt. “Stiles, I would love to wear it.” Another huge smile appears on Stiles’ face. “Now come on, be a good boyfriend and walk me to class.”
That night, Lydia shows up to the game, proudly donning Stiles’ hoodie. It may be a few sizes too big, she was only 5’3, but being Lydia Martin meant pulling off every and all outfits.
She quickly finds a seat next to the Sheriff and Melissa, who both waste no time pointing out what she is wearing.
“Stiles gave it to this morning! It’s a little big, but it’s warm so I cant complain.”
Melissa glances at the Sheriff and raises her eyebrows. Noah just shrugs in return. He cant say he didn’t see this coming.
The game starts and everyone turns their attention to the field, everyone except for Lydia who’s eyes are fixated on Stiles.
Beacon Hills wins by a landslide, because when you have two werewolves on the team it just comes naturally. Some call it cheating, they call it a coincidental advantage.
Lydia bounds down the bleachers to congratulate the team, stoping at her boyfriend first of course.
“How was I?” He asks. “And be honest with me Lydia, how was my sitting? Too slouchy? Not slouchy enough? Give it to me straight.”
She giggles and goes on her tiptoes to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. “You did great, you kept that bench warm like a champ.”
Suddenly, a hand lands on her shoulder and makes her jump. She turns around to find an extremely excited Scott. Sweat pouring down his face but still flashing a smile.
“Good work out there man!” Stiles congratulates Scott by bringing him into a hug.
“Thanks! Malia is gonna meet us a In-N-Out, you guys down?” Scott asks as Liam comes and joins the group.
Stiles look at Lydia and raises his eyebrows. “Babe? You down for burgers?”
But before Lydia could answer Liam stops her. “Hold on. Did you just call her babe?”
Lydia gasps silently. “Stiles…we forgot to tell everybody.”
“Oh shit you’re right!”
“Wait, tell us what?” Scott asks, he has a smile on his face, because if the answer is what he thinks it is, he might just freak out a little.
“We’re dating.” Lydia states simply, taking Stiles hand in hers.
Scott’s smile grows until he’s celebrating almost as hard as he did after the big win. “Dude! You started dating Lydia Martin and you didn’t like call me immediately?”
“I mean…I was a little busy with…something.”
Liam groans. “That’s disgusting.”
“Oh like you aren’t the king of PDA at this school.” Stiles replies, the signature ‘Liam I am so incredibly done with your shit’ look on his face.
Lydia rolls her eyes “How about we finish this conversation at In-N-Out? I am starving.”
“I second that! Malia is probably waiting.” Scott agrees, starting towards the the locker rooms with Liam.
Stiles sighs. “I don’t think there will be a day where I don’t wanna hit Liam upside the head. Anyway, I’m gonna go change. Meet me at the Jeep in ten?”
“Of course.” Lydia says, getting up on her tiptoes again, but this time giving him a quick kiss on the forehead. They both smile as they look into each other’s eyes.
This was the best decision they had made in a long time.
Summary: Since he had returned she hadn’t left his side. Their hands clasped together from the moment she saw him again. But in the rush of Stiles’ return, and all of their memories coming back as well, everyone had seemed to forget something. Something pretty important.
Notes: It’s actually been years since I’ve posted a fic so hopefully you all like this!
Read on ao3 if you wanna :)
They had gotten him back.
After a vicious fight against the Ghost Riders and figuring out how to get Stiles through the rift, they had finally gotten him back. It wasn’t easy and none of them had come out unharmed, but he was back. Stiles was back. With his dad, his best friends, and with his Lydia, and that was what mattered.
Since he had returned she hadn’t left his side. Their hands clasped together from the moment she saw him again. But in the rush of Stiles’ return, and all of their memories coming back as well, everyone had seemed to forget something. Something pretty important.
It only came to Lydia a few weeks later as she was wrapped in his arms watching a movie. It was random really, one of those thoughts you have for no absolute reason, it just kinda happened.
Her eyes go wide and a huge smile appears on her lips. “Mieczyslaw.” She says, and Stiles instantly tenses.
“What was that?” He asks, still looking straight forward.
“Mieczyslaw,” She repeats, sitting up. “your name! How could I have forgotten that?”
“I’m…um pretty sure you didn't know that before you lost all memories of me.”
Lydia shakes her head. “No no, your dad told us! The night he remembered you he came to Scotts house and he said it and I swear I thought he was speaking gibberish but-“
“Oh my god, I'm going to kill him.” Stiles groans, burying his face in a pillow. Lydia giggles pokes at his side.
“Oh come on it’s not that bad!”
“Yes it is! It makes me sound like an old polish man that like…farms goats or something. And obviously nobody can say it-“
“Mieczyslaw Miecyslaw Miecyslaw, there easy.” Lydia smirks.
Stiles snorts, turning his head away from the pillow to face Lydia. “Okay fine, but no one can spell it right.”
“M-I-E-C-Z-Y-S-L-A-W.”
Stiles rolls his eyes. “People with an average IQ.”
Lydia sighs and leans into his side. “Well I like your name. It’s cute. I could call you Mitchy as a fun little nickname.”
“Oh hell no you won’t.” He quickly pulls her into his lap and tickles her sides, knowing that’s where she's most ticklish.
“S-Stop!” Lydia squeals, giggling uncontrollably.
“Alright alright.” He agrees, stoping for a few moment to let her catch her breath but then starting again only seconds later. “But what’s my name?”
Two can play at this game. “M-Mieczyslaw!” She says through the laughter.
“Nope, try again!”
“Mitchy!” She laughs harder as he rolls his eyes.
“Guess I’ll just have to tickle you forever.”
“Okay okay I give! Stiles! Y-Your name is Stiles!”
“That’s what I thought.” He says with a smirk, giving her a quick kiss on the nose as she catches her breath.
“So I can never call you by your real name?” Lydia pouts, giving him those brown puppy dog eyes, knowing damn well he can’t resist them.
He gives a super exaggerated groan. “Okay, I guess you can. But only you…and Scott.”
“I have to share with Scott? Will I ever get any of you to myself?” She jokes.
“You get to make out with me! Scott doesn't get that.”
“Why do I have a hard time believing that?”
Stiles shrugs. “Scotty is a beautiful man, but my lips are reserved for you.” He leans in and gives her a soft kiss.
She blushes as she pulls away from the kiss. “I love you Mieczyslaw.”
“I love you more Lydia Camille-Grace Martin.”
She freezes. “Oh my god, who told you my middle name?”
(so i hope you want a stydia drabble cuz that’s all i know how to write lol)
“Lyds you’ve been at this for hours, why don’t you take a break?” Stiles wraps his arms around his frantic girlfriend in an attempt to calm her down.
She sighs and slips out from his arms, and continues to pace her dorm room floor. “Stiles I swear I am moments away from a break through with this paper. Let me think!”
“Okay,” Stiles raises his hands up in defense. “just please take a break soon.”
“Yeah, yeah sure.” She replies, not fully paying attention to what he just said.
She didn’t end up taking a break, instead she paced for two more hours until...
“I-I lost it.”
Stiles looks up from his phone. “What was that?”
“My idea...my idea its gone.” Lydia sits in her desk chair and puts her head in her hands.
“Babe it’s alright, that paper isn’t due for another three days. You have time!”
“Stiles you don’t understand! I have had no clue what to write for days. I was so close.” Lydia looks up at her boyfriend with tears running down her cheeks.
“No no no, don’t cry! Lydia it’s gonna be okay!” He squats in front of her and caresses her cheek. “Baby look at me. I think it’s time to take a break. You need to sleep, because of...brain health...or something.”
“I’m not crazy. I swear I’m not crazy!” She pleads, more tears rolling down her face.
“Lyds I know you’re not crazy, but I also know you’re extremely stressed and exhausted. So please just come rest. For me?” He asks, brushing a stray piece of hair away from her face.
She nods, wiping her eyes. “Okay.”
Stiles leads her to her bed and pulls back the sheets. She lays down and he tucks them around her. “It’s all gonna work out.” He assures her, and places a kiss on her cheek. “It always does.”
