The Hellatus Slayer is a semi-organized but casual summer-long watch party dedicated to watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel in their entirety.
A handful of Supernatural fans got to talking about the Buffyverse and decided to watch (or re-watch) both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and/or Angel during the 2018 summer hiatus. (Cool story, bruh.)
Watching with others is always more fun, so if these shows have been on your “to watch” list for years, this summer is the time to do it! We will ecstatically welcome first timers and Buffyverse veterans alike!
You do not have to be an SPN fan to join in; just be advised that the schedule we’re attempting is meant to fill the long days of waiting between the SPN S13 finale and S14 premiere.
We will begin on May 19th, 2018, with “Welcome to the Hellmouth” and “The Harvest!”
Netflix Canada will be dropping Buffy and Angel on October 1st, 11 days before our watch party is scheduled to end. If you're watching along with us, plan accordingly!

How and Where to Watch
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel have been off the air for years, but it’s still possible to watch both shows!
The availability of Buffy and Angel may vary by country. When we receive information about a country's streaming service, digital purchase, or physical purchase, this list will be updated accordingly.
Streaming
Hulu is by far the most economical option at $11.99 per month. They also offer a 30-day free subscription, which will help you get through part of the series without paying a dime.

From season 4 on, the ration is 16:9 instead of the original 4:3. I believe it may be identical to the Europe version. It does NOT appear to be the HD version.
Netflix CANADA has Buffy in the original 4:3 ratio (you lucky northerners). Netflix CA costs $13.99 per month.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Netflix (Canada only)
It is currently not confirmed if Angel is on Netflix CA.

Schedule
This is a tentative schedule of episodes for the summer hiatus. This schedule may be adjusted once the date for the SPN S14 premiere is set. We are currently operating under the assumption that the premiere will be on Thursday, October 11th, 2018.
In order to achieve the goal of watching both series in their entirety, you should plan to watch approximately one or two episodes each day. If you are only planning on watching one show but still want to watch with other people, simply ignore the other series' episodes.
You do NOT have to stick the day-to-day schedule! You can watch ahead or fall a little behind; this is just a guideline so that everyone who is participating will know what episode they should be on or around.

If you’d rather not use this calendar but would still like to stay up to date, this blog will also make daily posts letting you the day's episodes, as well as weekly posts summarizing the episode schedule for the week. Follow the @hellatusslayer to stay up to date.
Live Watch Party Info
There will be quite a few live-watch "parties" throughout the summer. The days and times will vary from week to week. The "party" will be taking place simultaneously on Tumblr and on a Discord server. Gather together in your preferred place to discuss, scream, ship, and cry together.
Tumblr: The official tag is "hellatus slayer." If participating on Tumblr, please tag your posts as "hellatus slayer." In order to see what others are posting, search for and/or track the tag.
Discord: The Hellatus Slayer has a Discord server! This server is available for those who would prefer to be in a chat room for the live-watch parties. This server is already up and running, but is currently very quiet since we haven't actually started yet. Feel free to join us now!
The first live-watch party will take place on May 19th with "Welcome to the Hellmouth" and "The Harvest." (Exact time TBA.)
When a live-watch party is planned, it will be announced as part of the daily & weekly episode schedule posts. If you would like to participate, simply go to Tumblr or the Discord server and start playing the episode at the designated time, and then have fun with the other people doing the same.
Most of the live-watch parties currently planned will be taking place in the evenings, US time. This is simply because that's when the organizer can do them. However, if you would like to organize a live-watch party at other times, simply send in an ask and we will add it to our schedule, as well as promote it on this blog for you!
