Survival isn't always epic battles and grand causes. Sometimes it's keeping warm in the winter when you live on the streets with someone else you're responsible for. And sometimes that person is the one who put you there in the first place, but hell is a place that laughs at every choice and move you make, even if it's not always burning hot.

This was my piece for the @tokuholidayspecials 2024 exchange, and it was such a joy to write. I hope my recipient enjoyed it and that some of you may also find some enjoyment out of it!
