I Support Sherrilyn Kenyon
I just recently signed up for the Sherrilyn Kenyon "Menyon" e-newsletter and I just read the January one. And I want to address this, so Ms. Kenyon, I hope you see this. And I will only refer to you as Ms. even though your still technically married but that man doesn't deserve you, and it sounds like he never did.
I've been a reader for years. I love this woman's books. Her books gave me something to do so I wouldn't go insane being stuck at home all during the week, unable to go anywhere. This woman is a gift to readers and so are the world's she transports us to. All of us that are her fans have heard of the Cassandra Clare lawsuit and I thought that was the worse that Ms. Kenyon was dealing with. I sadly hadn't known of the mysterious, but not anymore, illness that had plagued her for years. I didn't know of the evil "tutor" that was helping to destroy her family, that seems to have also been poisoning Ms. Kenyon's food, along with others. Go read the January newsletter to see the full details.
I didn't know of so much and, as someone who proudly claimed to be a fan and would spread the joy of her to books to everyone I've met since discovering her series, I feel as if I've let her down. Because authors need and should always have the support of their readers. Even when they do something crazy (looking at you JK Rowling) or something unexpected, or ya know, HUMAN.
So Ms. Kenyon, I'm sorry I was a poor fan. That I didn't do more to support you besides just buying books. Especially since I would like to be a writer once my boys get older and don't need me as much.
So, other Menyons! I beseech you, reblog this with the tag "I support Sherrilyn Kenyon" to let her know she has our support and love and we wish her the best in this dark time of need.
