Locked doors? No problem! Eldritch blast!

Now, Dusk could see that Delphinia wasn’t a villain. She didn’t mean any harm to innocents and certainly didn’t care for ambition or power. For all her delight in causing chaos, she’d also accomplished a remarkable amount of heroics all along the Sword Coast.
She was, however, rather childish.
Dusk coughed, fanning away dust that had been kicked up when Delphinia blasted the locked chest into smithereens. “Did you have to do that?” he frowned. Someone once worked hard to make that chest, each plank harvested from a tree and cut into shape, and just like that it was gone.
“We don’t have any keys or lockpicks,” Delphinia snorted, swooping down to pick up the loot scattered about the destroyed chest. “What else would you suggest?”
“You have the key, Delly,” Dusk huffed and his ears twitched in mild indignation. “I saw you steal it off the guard earlier after I knocked him out.” She lied so smoothly about something so obvious, and it made him uncomfortable to know that he would’ve believed her if he didn’t trust his own eyes more.
A mischievous grin warred with the smirk on her face, and Delphinia flicked her wrist dismissively. “This way’s faster anyway. Oh, hey there’s the necklace the old bag was looking for.”
She swung the black diamond pendant around on the silver chain, sending the disembodied voices in the pendant wailing softly in terror, before tucking it into her pocket. Well, at least they got what they were here for. Dusk sighed. They were doing the right thing—retrieving a cursed necklace for a priestess of Kelemvor to release the souls trapped within—but, whenever Delphinia was involved, it always felt like the opposite.
