The one where I ramble on about Hecate and stuff

I feel weird, like I need to apologize for not being conservative when it comes to worship.

I’ve decided to go the path of hellenic henotheism, meaning I acknowledge the old gods, but I only really worship Hecate.

Am I a witch? I’ve an interest in herbalism, I worship Hecate, one might get a witchy vibe off that.

But I will always be a chaos magician at heart.

Why worship a goddess then?

Because divinity is a power that would be a shame to leave untapped.

It’s not just pragmatism though, I feel a connection to Hecate, I feel the need for her guidance in my magical and mystical endeavors.

I’ve never worshiped anything or anyone, having adhered to a sort of neo-daoist philosophy for most of my life.

I will do my best to honor the ancient rites and customs, I will research them thoroughly, but I will go my own path, because that’s what I do.

My interest is in attaining knowledge and I feel the need to retain my flexibility as a chaos magician, but the hellenic paradigm will be the canvas on which I’ll paint my very own picture, by the light of Hecate’s torches I will explore all of the worlds, find my own style of spellcasting.

Her wisdom will guide me and I feel she would approve of my experimenting with different styles.

There’s a lot ahead of me and I’m excited.

I’ve felt union with the universe, but never have I connected to divinity on this level.
