I'm serious. That's it. That's the plot of how Reader and Eddie met.

Reader was dating a shitty boy, Eddie was pining for her but knew she'd never notice him.

Reader broke up with Shithead, and at prom of Junior year she walked up to him.

"I've got a couple of Iron Maiden tickets. Friday, don't be late, Munson."

The night ended with them making out in the back of his van.

Turns out Reader "Angel" Y/L/N likes Iron Maiden too.

A/n: So I watched the Stranger Things season 5 trailer and um.. WHO TF WROTE BURN IN HELL ON EDDIE'S GRAVESTONE???? Anyway, I had this idea at like 3 am. Let us know if you want chapter 2.

It happened again.

The nightmare.

Eddie, in your arms, bleeding out after the demibats got him. He chuckled at a stupid joke he made, trying to cheer you up as you cried, knowing he wouldn't survive. You begged him to stay awake, but.. it was no use.

“It's okay, sweetheart.. I'll just come back as a lich..”

You wake up in his bed again.

Wayne had let you move in while you grieved. He needed the company too. Used tissues spilled out of the trash can by the bed, band posters and all of the surfaces dusty, like the place hadn't been used in forever. Aside from the bed and you occasionally picking up Eddie's guitar.. it hadn't.

You sat up, still tired despite having gotten a full night's sleep. That's what it's come to. Summer break spent grieving your boyfriend by sleeping all day and barely eating. You wished he was right beside you, fast asleep. You wished you could run your fingers through his unruly hair, trace his tattoos.. but no. It's all a wish.

There was a knock at the door that broke you out of your thoughts. You expected Wayne with breakfast you wouldn't touch, but it was different today. Dustin walked in.

“Hey..”

“Hi..”

Your voice was hoarse from barely talking recently, the simple greeting sounding awkward.

“You um.. you wanna go see him?”

The question hung in the air. You had visited Eddie's grave a lot, before you realized no amount of crying was bringing him back, and that D&D spells for vampirication don't work in real life.

“Sure.. let me get dressed.”

Steve had joined you on the way there, having plans to go visit Eddie too.

You had brought something with you. A rose you bought from the local flower shop on the way down into the woods where Eddie's grave is. You wanted to put it there, since roses mean love, and well.. he was your love.

You three walked through the woods, leaves and pine straw crunching underfoot, soft chatter about your favorite memories with Eddie filling the air until you reached the site.

You saw it before they did. Red spray paint, hideous words. 'Burn in Hell.'

“Holy shit..”

Dustin was the first person to talk. The thorns of the rose bit into your hands, but the pain was welcome. It kept you grounded.

Steve however carefully pried the flower from your palms to prevent you being injured.

“Who..? What..?”

“My money is on Jason. The dick.. of course he'd deface a grave.”

You could feel tears stinging your eyes. You had kept it together all day, and now this? Your hands covered your mouth to muffle the sound of you starting to choke out sobs.

Eddie's name was barely visible through the paint, but still legible if you got close.

Edward Munson. 1966-1986. May he rest in peace.

It felt cold as the stone it was engraved on. No jokes. No D&D reference. No Metallica quote either. It didn't feel like Eddie even if his name was right there. And the graffiti on top just made it worse.

Steve gently pulled you away, offering a hug of comfort, wrapping his arms around you tightly.

“It's okay. It can be cleaned off. We can do it tonight. How's that sound?”

You didn't respond. The fact someone would ACTUALLY do this.. it made your blood boil, freeze, and reheat.

That night, Steve snuck out to the woods with a bucket and sponge.

He was scrubbing down the grave, making a bit of progress on getting the spray paint off, when the perpetrator of the crime returned to the scene.

He didn't make it far before he was snatched up by.. something.

It sounded like an oversized bat, loud and screeching. The perp screamed in terror and agony (it was definitely Jason, he'd recognize that scream of agony anywhere after he got hit in the nuts with a basketball), and it suddenly stopped with the sound of flesh ripping and bone cracking.

Steve could see the thing ripping Jason to pieces. It was humanoid with large leathery bat wings, but the things that caught his eye?

The ripped and torn Hellfire Club shirt and the unruly mop of hair.

That was Eddie Munson ripping Jason to shreds without mercy, and Steve had a feeling as he ran that if he didn't run quick enough, he'd been next on the menu.

A/N: FUCK IT HAVE THIS FIC EARLY I'M TOO EXCITED

It was a while after.. the incident. You had counted exactly 4 days, 13 hours, 15 minutes. Now, Jason has been added to the pile of missing persons cases, Steve hasn't talked to you since you last saw him, and life feels colder. Wayne hasn't talked to you much either, but he's tried to keep up conversation, seeing how much Eddie's death and grave defacement have affected you.

It was quiet outside. Crickets chirping, and some tv show noise coming from a neighboring trailer. It was peaceful, especially for what happened the past few weeks. You pulled your jacket tighter, shivering from the night air.

You walked back inside once it got too cold, shutting the door behind yourself. Wayne was sat on the couch, watching TV, but he cut the volume down once he saw you.

"Hey. You alright, Y/N?"

You nodded. It hurt knowing he was probably suffering too, but you wouldn't talk to him. Wayne could help you process, but it would hurt more to open up instead of shutting down, like you have been.

"You know you can talk to me, right?"

"right."

You quietly walked back to Eddie's room, the familiar faint smell of weed and alcohol wrapping around you like the hug you needed. But, among the comfort it gave, it left an ache in your heart. How long until the smell faded? For Eddie to finally leave for good..

3:45 am.

You were fast asleep, but that wouldn't be for long.

Something.. or someone.. was outside the window. Leathery wings tucked against his back, fangs aching to puncture flesh and taste blood.. the only blood that could truly satisfy him.

He could see you inside, asleep. It was the first time in weeks he caught you asleep, which was perfect. All the better to slip in, feed, and slip out.

It was a miracle he actually managed to get through the window without waking you, taking in the once familiar surroundings of his bedroom.

He quietly crept to the bed, grinning, just itching to hold you tight and sink his fangs into your neck, to taste your blood..

And so he did. You felt someone lay behind you and wrap their arms around your waist, lips pressing to your neck.

"Relax, my love.. it'll only hurt for a moment.."

That woke you up.

Your eyes fluttered open just as the man behind you bit directly into your neck. It hurt like hell, but that slowly ebbed into soothing warmth.

That voice was familiar. Familiar and muffled against your skin. So familiar it brought tears to your eyes.

"Eddie..?"

You could feel him smile, the same way he'd smile while kissing your neck, that goofy one that would make you laugh. You could feel your eyes drooping closed again, the warmth spreading up your neck, weighing down your eyelids and making your head feel fuzzy. You could feel.. something.. wrapping around your legs, pinning them together and to the mattress. It felt almost comforting, like the hug you needed.

"Shh.. don't blow my cover, sweetheart."

You woke the next morning, neck aching like you slept on it wrong. The weird dream from last night echoing in your mind. You got up to use the bathroom, only to see them.

Bite marks on your neck.

They were in the area that hurt, already bruised a dark purple.

Maybe last night WASN'T a dream.

After searching around the room, you saw that the closet, which you always kept shut, was slightly open.

After grabbing a simple weapon of a baseball bat, you crept to the closet, carefully opening it. Inside? The thing from your encounter.

Fluffy brown hair, leathery wings, bloodstained lips, three.. tails? tendrils? And the Hellfire Club shirt you used to steal when he wasn't looking.

And hes upside down.

Eddie. Eddie is in your closet. No one could blame you when you actually screamed.

You and Eddie danced in his bedroom in the Munson trailer, laughing as he goofed off to Diane Ross (who he knew you preferred over Metallica or Black Sabbath).

It was his 18th birthday, so you two were hanging out before the rest of Hellfire came over to party and drink and cause Wayne a headache. Eddie pulled you close, resting his forehead against yours, still grinning like an idiot.

"18 years on this shithole of a planet, and you're still the most enchanting thing i've ever seen.."
