another of the younger kids tried to run. she can hardly blame him, but he’ll find there’s nowhere to go for miles.  they’re out in the middle of nowhere, to keep them isolated from the rest of the world.

except this one, somehow, managed to make it all the way to the next bus stop to catch a bus. he’s pretty determined-- maki will give him that. after asking around (because of course she was the one tasked with bringing him back), she figured out which bus he took, and where he intended to get off. probably to see the aquarium in the city nearby, though he’d have to walk some distance.

which is how maki found herself in this situation.

“...mine?” her tone is harsh and cutting. “kind of. we’re from shinkou no tsubasa.”

2. Where did you find inspiration for your muse?

well, i'd already had the idea for an ultimate archer crawling around my brain for a couple of months, so lili was already halfway there. i really had to grope around for luci's talent, though, because i wanted them to be related yet not have the same one. but. where the inspiration came from is where all my inspiration tends to come from: work, where my mind wanders and comes up with ideas that i forget half the time by the time i can actually write them down, lmfao.

9. If your muse could be a canon character in any fandom, which fandom would you choose?

oh wow that's definitely a question!! one that i actually have to think about. well, obviously, danganronpa, since that's the fandom they're made for, but besides danganronpa? hmmm...

lili, probably something like final fantasy, and luci, probably soulcalibur. she'd be yet another swordfighter, but still. ahaha~

17. What is something about your muse’s background story that you’ve always wanted to have a thread about?

well, considering i haven't actually written them yet, literally anything, haha. though probably exploring why lili's so quiet while luci isn't, though i actually haven't come up with a reason for that yet beyond the fact that lili is shy and luci isn't. and honestly, that could be the entire reason! i don't know. but honestly. anything. xD

6. Are there parts of your muse that resemble parts of yourself?

mmm.... yukari, not really. koharu, a little bit! she's got my trust issues and the envy of people she perceives as better than her (in her case: the ultimates, in my case. just about everyone else lmfao).

8. How did you choose the name for your muse?

koharu mishima: koharu is my favorite female japanese given name, and mishima is the first surname i thought of that went well with it xD. sylvia jokes that koharu is related to heihachi from tekken bc mishima is his last name, too, but that's only a coincidence xD. koharu is also the only one of the OCs that uses kanji for her first name instead of hiragana, a little fun fact. the kanji used for her name are actually very standard for the name koharu; with ko (小) meaning small, and haru (春) meaning spring. mishima, meanwhile, uses the kanji for three (三) and island (島). i don't know enough about japanese to know why the kanji for three is read as mi in this case rather than san, but there you have it.

yukari matsuyama: yukari's name is a less interesting origin; i just googled japanese female names and japanese surnames and picked ones that i perceived as going together. yukari's first name also has no meaning attached to it because she uses hiragana for it instead of kanji. matsuyama uses the kanji matsu (松, pine, pine tree) and yama (山, mountain).

12. Do you ship your muse with any other original characters?

i don't ship either of them with any of my own, but i do ship koharu with sylvia's momiji akamatsu! so far they're kind of a sort of "i hate you but i love you" ship, which is always fun to write. yukari... i haven't really had the chance to develop her enough to even have a general idea of who i'd ship her with, so unfortunately she's not shipped with anyone right now.

18. Give us one thing from your muse’s wishlist that you really want to write in a thread!

koharu: i really, really, really would love to write her like. having her walls broken down a bit. she has too hard of an exterior right now. i want to write her being vulnerable with someone. that'd be fun. :D she needs that sort of attention, honestly, even though she'll never admit it.

yukari: literally anything because i've only written her maybe twice, and never in a full thread pls i'm dying here--

artemis is somewhat aware that it's a holiday, though she's not entirely up-to-date on what the local customs are. still, it seems festive, so she decides she'd like to participate. roaming around with a conjured pair of elf ears alongside realistic-looking cat ears, artemis flags down a stranger and places a single hard candy in their hands. "all hallow's eve!" she cheers by way of greeting.

The night was alight with color and light, cutting through the blackness of the night and lighting the way for any who wanted to join the merriment. It was among the few times the Dokkalfar might actually welcome outsiders into their hive of decadence and flamboyance, at their own risk, of course. Vali immediately knew a glamoured outsider when he smelt down, he appreciated that some at least attempted to fit in -- besides, it was always nice to have a bit of variety. The Archmage was on the sidelines, by the edge of the jungle, keeping his antennae slicked back towards the forest to sense for anything or anyone trying to slip him up.

He watched as a band of younger fae passed by, and following soon behind, someone he'd never seen before. He tilted his head as she approached, and realized -- she was giving him a little gift. He smiled brightly and accepted it. Of course he's going to take any and all sweets he can get his hands on. Add it to the hoard. The amount he collected should last him and his inner circle until the end of the following month. So he wasn't going to complain about getting more. The candy was bright and blue and smelled like both real and artificial berry flavors even through the wrapper.

"Thank you, have a blessed Samhain! And be careful with any candy any fae offers to you tonight."

@hellhaunt saw someone crying

Crying in a graveyard isn’t that unusual. Crying in a graveyard in the dead of night when it is most certainly trespassing to be there at all is a little unusual. Crying in a graveyard under a tree, face in hands, shoulders shaking, and not at all at a grave, in the dead of night is... Well, it’s unusual. It certainly is.

But there they were. In a messy, mud stained, wrinkled suit and tie, curled up around themself in a tight ball, just sobbing.
