Since I'm waiting on a response for the sketches I sent out for commissions, I decided to draw Solrina while also practicing on hellhorses. While it's true that Solrina will get a hellhorse in due time, I'm still figuring out what kind of design I want to give her hellhorse, Calamity. Her hellhorse is definitely going to be inspired by the Gypsy Vanner because those manes are really pretty and I thought 'Those manes would probably look like a wall of lava' and that sounds like a fun experiment. Of course, the hooves are also going to have to be worked on since Vanners have feathered hooves similar to a Clydesdale.

Like I said, it's going to be a lot of trial and error for me in figuring out Calamity's design. For now, I'm going to mostly practice horses.

We were talking with @renek-bane about his Vampire Bane AU and space horse OC Rana, and in the end managed to vampirize her too. As if she wasn't menacing enough already 😀

My little sister asked me (ca. 10 years ago... >_>; ) if I could draw some kind of "fantasy" horse.... I never did. So I wanted to make it as birthday or christmas gift last year, bud I had my down mood there....

So better late than never...
