As of writing we're not even at the end of week five yet but we're winning and we're awesome and the general team vibes are amazing!! I am a firm believer in team events only being as good as the team you're in and let's just say there's a reason mcc's been one of my favourite events to take part in. <33

And even if we don't win I get the strong feeling we'll be top three, and honestly, I trust that the real win will be the friends we made along the way

I watched the honeyworks recs they're all SO good!! ₍₍⚞(˶˃ w ˂˶)⚟⁾⁾ no like finding each other in every lifetime was so moving, and then the confessional rehearsals?? I'm about to join the cause for making it a trope because it's so so cute!! The train is so adorable like you just end up rooting for them like you can do it!! You've practiced so hard AND THEN she makes the first contact (⁠｡⁠ﾉ⁠ω⁠＼⁠｡⁠) The idols too like I love a good story about coming into your own and it's lowkey so inspiring! I'm like, I need to pull out all the work I've been procrastinating right now bc you're right guys our unique colors do shine like stars in the sky!! Eeeee!!

and the idols are just. im not normal about them. this frame in particular is so funny to me to this day like putting that lyric next to straight couples is still unmatched. kid youre gay. and i think the headphones scene is still the cutest thing in the world you can very clearly see my tastes at play here

I've never heard of honeyworks, do you have recommendations for them? When I looked it up I found the wiki for the group, but do they usually tell stories with their songs or somethin similar? I'm just curious and love hearing people talk about their fav bands, so you can take this as an all access pass to talk about whatever you want ⸜(｡> ᵕ < )⸝♡

WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes honeyworks usually tell stories with their songs!!!! it's their thing!!! they started out as vocaloid producers, though they've since rather expanded (but they still do voca songs sometimes) and they have a whole romance manga written through songs and their music videos ! 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ they've got two main sagas, a highschool romance story and one about idols! i treasure them both dearly <3 but besides those, they also have a bunch of one-off oneshot songs with shorter stories as well ! this one is a massive banger very cool ↓ the second one i ever listened to and they got me good. it was the opening for magic kaito!

the honeyworks eng sub situation is a bit complicated though i think, so here's an english cover as well if you want to get a better grasp of what's going on hskjdhs

and actually the best starting point for the highschool romance one is in fact confession rehearsal, the one with the premise i based my scarian fic off! i love this song guys i think it's genuinely the song of all time. so good. my beloved. im doing my part in popularizing it as a trope by making an au off it on like every single fandom ive been in ♥️ nobody asked for it but im here to provide ♥

alongside this song, the guy got his own pov, her friends also got their own stories, his friends did as well, theres also a few love triangles at play.... it's a very everyone falls in love complicated web of feelings series hskdjhs there's a couple of mid anime movies about it and such, but honestly you can kinda watch whatever video and be able to piece together the story from what happened. if you're intrigued/this sounds like something you'd like, then i can link a few other fun ones !

friday's good morning is also an all time fave for me peak premise ever!!!! two people who see each other every morning on their train commute, but are too shy to talk to each other. bc of that, fridays are kind of an important day because then they won't see each other until monday! the actual cutest meet cute these two are my faves of all time i adore, them!!! first honeyworks song i listened to as well hsdjksds it truly hooked me i just love it! i had to see more!

the idols saga makes me sick in the head. theres a better starting point than the song im about to link but you see. my main blog has the title as its url for a reason. the thumbnail for this cover (it has subs!) is also kinda self explanatory. i care them. this saga isnt really romance focused and its more about self improvement & chasing your dreams & working hard and such but also yeah the thumbnail. kawaikute gomen is also technically part of this idol saga as well !
