1. If you could create a potion, what would be its purpose and key ingredients?
Recently I have been researching death ,its process the side effects of being deceased and whom have successfully managed encounters and happing’s during the passing of soul.
the purpose of this potion is a self-preservation fail safe, if I parish during a personal mission. To be able to manipulate death and a soul without repercussion. to be able to control a soul without sacrificing your own. This is the power that shall be bottled if developed properly. The goal in creating such a potion is to gain the ability to trap a spirt in a body despite the fact it is attempting to separate its self from the vessel it resides. And once contained the giver of the potion can then either collect the soul through cast abstraction’s or attempt to return the soul to a vessel ( either the one it was residing or replace it into another living alembic) and the research reassures that this is possibility
One of the most respected figures in warlock history of welsh is the title of Abhorsen . whom uses both the dangerous Free Magic-based powers of a necromancer who acts as the keepers of the to Death and wards against the return of Dead spirits back into Life. They use the bells, in tandem with their natural affinity with Death, to amplify their powers. In short an Abhorsens job is to "bind" the dead to Death. What fascinated me was these four Abhorsen bell’s abilities specifically.
"the waker" bell, wakes the dead, bringing them into life as it throws the necromancer farther into death. Dyrim is the "speaker", granting the ability of speech to the dead, or taking it away. Belgaer is the "thinker" and can restore independent thought to the dead and resurrect old memories, but can also erase them in a careless hand. Astarael is the "Sorrowful". Last and final of the bells, it sends all who hear it, including the ringer, deep into death. It is nearly impossible to return after hearing Astarael.
Warning: it is to my theory that, this is a time sensitive potion the ability of the brew will become less and less effective if the soul undergoes prolonged separation from a vessel to inhabit. Depending on how long the spirit is separated could cause the entity to forget what it was or manifest negative aura and demonizes the previously intact specter.
Ingredient’s list:
As time is a factor during administration of the brew so is preparation this should be done as quickly as possible.
Star blood 1 teaspoon :Do to the adverse side effects of ingestion of a star’s heart and the rarity of finding one I believe that the blood of a star that has just fallen to earth immediately after death , while the blood still is it’s last circulation should suffice as a viable substitute. This should rejuvenate the body in which the soul will reside to prime physical condition. Boil blood with table spoon of water that has bathed in moon light from the fortnight. Boil until thick ( like a beurre blanc sauce) after add in each item below
acquire bells from an abhorsen, ring each of the four under clarified charmed water. the sound waves produced in the water can be caught by the ripples.
DRIED CYPRESS leaf (2 crushed)
FRANKINCENSE ½ teaspoon liquid
HOLLY 1/3rd tablespoon
LAUREL ½ teaspoon
Fermented LOTUS FLOWER 1/4th teaspoon muddled
WORMWOOD 1 teaspoon chips
Water from bell’s add into cauldron one at a time
Simmer over medium heat until brew has emulsified
How to Identify potion and maintain: the concoction should be contained in as cold a temperature as possible to preserve the ripples made by bell’s soundwaves. Potion should be a silver-onyx color from the star blood and a velvet like texture .flavor undetermined, ingestion should feel like swallowing fire but since one is in-between life and death during it should not cause pain.
as of now in my personal time I have multiple experiments in test phase the potion is purely in the ‘hypothetical stage.’
