⋯ █《 ☾ 》█ ⋯ Right before he was about to take another bite of his dinner, his trained eyes spotted the silhouette of a dimly lit figure approaching him from the other side of his campfire. Slowly lowering the piece of cooked meat, he did his best to inconspicuously hover his hand over his wooden sword. His stiffened body relaxed when a young girl emerged from the shadows. She didn’t look like she was looking for a fight.
Acting like a child would probably serve him well in this situation… An innocent smile immediately appeared on his face. “Hey there! Are you here because of the smell of food? I can give some of it to you if you’d like.” It was both a question and an offer since he had enough to feed her too.
