((PART 5 SPOILERS)) if Fugo didn't leave the group and Abba didn't die, how would Polnareff think about them if he met them?

Oh, Polnareff has plenty of experience with people that have similar temperaments to Abbacchio and Fugo. Polnareff himself was more impulsive and quick to anger like Fugo in his younger days, and he’s met men like Abbacchio before. 

Once Diavolo is defeated and everyone is safe, Polnareff will have more time to actually get to know them. He’s observant - he quickly sees Abbacchio’s undying loyalty to Bruno and Fugo’s vulnerability.

He’s not going to dislike them - Polnareff got along with a group of 4 very different men and a horrible bastard of a dog. He’ll joke and play a bit like he always does, but with age, Polnareff has matured significantly. 

By way of age, he gets along with Abbacchio a bit better and finds himself having late night conversations with the man whilst they smoke a cigarette. If Fugo approaches him, Polnareff has no issue with offering guidance to the young man. I think Caesar would want at least 4 kids - he loves the idea of a big Italian family. Being able to provide for you and your children together is important to him.
