He usually saved the routine maintenance checks for earlier in the month. It was the easiest thing Ricardo had to take care of and it never got in the way of working on the more administrative duties that involved more time at his desk cranking out reports rather than back in the lab. These maintenance checks were usually performed by his assistants, given the number of biomachines actually in operation but there was one in particular he took special care to tend to: Kevin.

One could call him Ricardo's magnum opus, his greatest work... and as unstable and imperfect as he was, well... the kinks could and would sort itself out over time.

He kept the appointments for these maintenance checks after hours. No assistants to bother him. Cedric had probably gone home with the Third for the night. Kevin was done with his broadcast. It didn't get in anyone's way and it was a way for him to wind down. So he waited, closing his eyes and shutting off his computer's monitor for the evening. He'd be here any minute. The memos had been sent out that day, after all.
