hello new followers and welcome to the bean zone
❝ that's not the worst thing i've ever heard but it's certainly up there. ❞ ( from rin for hoshina )
" At least it's not blackmail on your Captain, I have plenty of that, but---" he couldn't help but chuckle softly for a moment. "We can just leave it at this for now. I would hate to ruin his reputation as is."
a small hum left his lips for a moment.
“ Even if he did it on his own to begin with. BUT ANYWAY, it's been ages since I've gotten to speak to you, Rin. How have you been? He's treating you right?”
A FEW VARIOUS SENTENCE STARTERS || accepting || @starjynx
@homelander-rp-blog asked "I suppose you do have a very nice face."
She struggles against the restraints around her wrists, a little too tight for her liking but what could she do? her weight rocks the chair she's in, trying to free herself before Homelander returns. Too late. She makes an attempt to flip her hair away from her face, grinning at her captor. "well aren't you sweet." she rocks the chair once again, "maybe you'll do your best not to damage it too much, huh?"
she stops fighting for a moment, taking a breath as her bright blue orbs take in all that was The homelander. The posters and billboards with his face really didn't do him justice. He was both handsome and terrifying. "Look here darlin', just because I don't wanna join your little fantastic four or whatever it is you guys are called, doesn't mean I'm disrespectin' ya. I just don't play well with others is all."

❝ i did the best i could, i got taken down again. but i got fire in my blood, i got sugar on my skin. and i got nowhere to begin, so.. ❞

@magikldreams : i’ll let you know when i can catch my breath. (nat)
They’d met at the strange hour of half past 3 in the morning in the locker room. Natasha seems to be on the tail end of the day ; Steve is at his beginning. He had been planning to hit the weights, his body yearning for a strain when it had woken up even earlier than usual. But he takes one look at Natasha’s face, the way she staves off his, ‘ How are you ? ’ for tossing a towel in his face and decides maybe something else is in order. She doesn’t look tired, she . . . looks like him.
He tosses her towel back at her. ‘ Put your runners on. ’
Fifteen miles later, they are off the beaten track with long grass up to their knees and unseen shrubbery attacking their ankles. It’s still dark, but the sky had started to lighten just as they’d left the city lights, the night chill of the air beginning to settle down as dew on grass and frost on leaves. They’ve been uphill for the last leg of their journey, Steve keeping a pace that makes them sweat but not impossible to chatter in between . . . not that they do too much of that, anyway.
Finally they reach the top — half hill, half grassy cliff, city life far enough away that they could close their eyes and pretend that it wasn’t there, but near enough that the first inhale of air would still take you right to town center. Steve is not much for nature, but every now and again he doesn’t mind leaving behind his city boy roots. As long as it wasn’t for two years on the Western Front.
Steve tramples down some grass at what he deems is the very precipice of the hill, and takes a seat, cross-legged, leaning back on his hands. They both breathe heavy as the sky continues to lighten above and around them, gradual hues of pinks and oranges seeping into the curtain of blue and dark purple, stars turning in for the day. ‘ So. How are you ? ’ he asks again.
‘ I’ll let you know when I can catch my breath, ’ she says.
Steve exhales his laugh, sinking deeper into the heels of his hands. Their breaths quieten and even out as the sun finally wakes up, bringing with it a little bit of warmth which feels good on Steve’s confused hot from the inside, cold from the outside skin. Maybe he should have just let Natasha go — let her destroy whatever she was planning to in that gym on her own instead of going home after a long day like everyone else. Maybe he’d seen something that wasn’t really there — he couldn’t always tell with Natasha — or maybe he was seeing mirror images where there weren’t any. Maybe, maybe . . . But on the off chance that she needed this, too, he’s happy to shoulder whatever complaints she might have for dragging her on an uphill run to witness three minutes of just about the only sure-fire thing in this world. Just about.
‘ How about now ? ’
