how do you deal with it? the feeling that you belong in/on another world (idk the grammar sorry). it brings me lots of dread personally.

It's never brought me dread, only wistful longing. I don't believe anyone is here on accident - I think we are all here for a reason and I consider this life a blessing despite the imperfect nature of it.

But this is coming from someone who used to use many methods of escapism for a significant portion of my life and doesn't want to encourage it in anyone else. I believe the best way to cope with this feeling is to get out into the world and take risks, try new things, and do your best to make the most of the life that was given to you.

There's a whole world out there if you can gather the courage to experience it. I will always feel that longing for another world and will continue to express it through my art and writings, but that won't stop me from living, and it shouldn't stop you either. :)

AW YAY I’M THRILLED TO HEAR THAT! THANK YOU!! Hopefully I can jot everything down this year like I want to. I’ve definitely had to scale it back from my original plans of how I wanted to present it bc I’m in a stage of my life where I don’t have as much time as I once did but this is STILL MY CREATIVE PRIORITY and I hope you love it when it drops!! As small as it will be. 🖤

Paint Tool SAI is what I’ve used as long as I’ve been making digital art! I absolutely adore it but it definitely doesn’t offer as many features as newer programs. I want to play around with newer programs eventually because I think they’d help me be less slow with some of my art once I got the hang of them.

Is jolligig. Pronouns?

Thank you! Jolligig is a genderless soul in a female form so she/her is most appropriate here, but you are also free to use whatever you like. I don't put pronouns on her reference bc they're not very important to me personally.

You'll see more of an explanation of what she is when I drop her little backstory eventually. I promise it makes perfect sense within Mario canon lore LOL. You'll see why.

Do you have an updated character sheet for Jolligig?

Since he's the one I sleep with he is VERY well loved now and not as nice looking as he once was (but I have others that I keep nicer. I have to allow myself at least 1 or 2 to cuddle under my arm and not worry about messing up the fabric on.)

Yes, that's kind of my whole thing here LOL.

These are very personal beliefs, though. It is not something I've ever asked anyone else to cater to, as that would be a bit weird. I am a very spiritual person and a strong belief in other dimensions and possible (albeit rare) contact between them is part of it.

Favorite horror movie?

DESPITE THE FLUFFY NATURE OF MY BLOG I AM A HUGE HORROR FAN (specifically supernatural horror, though) so thank you for this question

Hellraiser (1987) Poltergeist (1982) and The Ring (2002) are my top favorites.

Honestly though I think Poltergest is the #1 of all time for me. I cannot even describe the emotions that film evokes in me. I've never found it scary, only touching and heartfelt. It made me sob cry the first time I saw it over a decade ago.

It took me ages to admit to myself because despite never in my life having had those types of feelings for anyone in this world, I think part of me definitely was hoping I could be "normal" at some point so I delayed the inevitable acceptance for a VERY LONG TIME.

That being said, my feelings for Fawful are very much romantic and real. The reason I still identify as aroace when asked and think it's the appropriate term is because 99% of people in this world are not going to see my husband as a real person, so it's a word that gets the point across to everyone without overcomplicating it. If I could transport myself to his world then things would change.

BUT YES NO I'VE BEEN A HUGE PHANTOM FAN SINCE I WAS A KID and I grew up with the movie version!! I saw it on broadway for the first time in my teens and have NEVER forgotten that.

Did you ever think your life would look like this?

No, absolutely not. When I was younger I couldn't even imagine myself at the age I am now, lol. I definitely thought I'd be a lot wiser and more mature at this point, but the more I live the more I see that everyone is fumbling around and figuring things out forever together.

I remember when I was as young as 5 and 6 I used to pray that I would be taken away from Earth and placed in the world I was meant to be born into. I always had an innate sense of not belonging here, and I still do.

But I guess the difference now is that I've reached a sense of acceptance that for whatever reason, this is where I am meant to be right now and it allows me to be able to run forward with hope and a love for everything around me instead of feeling stuck like before.

So no, I didn't think it would look like this... but I'm happy.
