Ash furrowed her brow at Nikolas. She slowly reached up to touch the leather collar. it wasn’t something that she usually liked, but she figured that it could be okay for the moment. 

She raised her head slightly for him to look at it. “ Well?”

Random Headcanons

Nikolas:

Sleep: He’s more likely to be found sleeping sitting up, usually against a wall or in a corner, when he’s been tense.

Shifts in his sleep, though tends to favor stomach or his right side.

Sleeps in underwear or loose fitting pajama pants

Doesn’t like being layered under blankets much, sleeps in sweaters or hoodies unless its so cold he has to wrap up in blankets

Food: Favorite foods are steak, potatoes, salad and shrimp

Can cook fairly well, likes to keep his kitchen stocked.

What does his room look like: A greyish color with a decent size bed, half unmade, set next to a nightstand that has a lamp and an alarm clock on it. there’s a dresser containing his socks, underwear and some of his shirts, his jeans are in there too. what little dress clothes he has are in the closet with his shoes.

Henri:

Sleep: Likely to be found sleeping anywhere he deems ‘comfortable. Even if that means your seat/bed etc.

Sleeps mostly on his stomach with his hands up under his head

Wears very little if anything in the way of pajamas usually

sort of covers up with a sheet, usually ends up kicked away. doesn’t mind blankets, he doesn’t like sleeping with a shirt on.

Food: favorite foods are steak, pork, almost any kind of seafood and italian

Likes to cook but not the cleanest while doing so

What does his room look like: White with a big bed. it has several pillows, a sheet and a thick blanket. It’s mussed like it’s just been climbed out of. Theres a side table with a lamp and a glass of water, the alarm clock is on the dresser. His clothes are mostly neatly folded and put in drawers or hung up save the jacket tossed on the chair in the corner and the socks and pair of shoes on the floor.

Levi:

Sleep: Will sleep in armchairs, on couches, on the floor in front of a warm fire, he has to be comfortable.

Sleeps almost entirely on his back, though sometimes he shifts to his side.

is more modest in what he wears to bed and likes pajama pants

doesn’t use blankets when it’s warm, likes thick blankets when it’s cold

doesn’t mind cuddlling but prefers space while sleeping with a new partner

doesn’t mind sleeping curled/huddled with people as long as he knows them, knows from upbringing that you should only let someone sleep at your back if you’d trust them to guard it.

Food: Loves Spanish and Italian foods, and the occasional German food. Steak and seafood are good too though he’s never been overly picky.

Can’t cook very well, has a tendency to burn things.

What does his room look like: Medium sized bed, made. The walls are an earth tone. There’s two lamps, one next to the bed and one next to a chair that has a book sitting in it’s seat. There’s a watch and a folded shirt on the dresser and the closet door is open showing neatly hung shirts though his shoes look like they were sort of tossed in.

Demons in the Kitchen

“SHIT!” Levi yelled, slamming the lid back down on the pan in an attempt to contain the smoke.

“You burned something else?” Henri asked from his place leaning against the doorframe.

“Go back in the other room, I’ll help him and try to keep him from burning the place down. I’ll come get you when it’s ready.” Nikolas said, waving a rag over the stove and flicking the fan in it’s hood on.

“No. Watching you two cook is more entertaining.” Henri said stubbornly, crossing his arms.

“Go, Henri.” Nikolas growled.

Nikolas took the still slightly smoking pan from Levi and put it in the sink. He ran water in it and turned back to the stove. “Let’s try this again. How about you cut and chop and I’ll handle the stove part.”

“Fine.” Levi said, picking up a knife and turning toward the cutting board. He cut up the meat and vegetables before taking a knife to some herbs and finally a loaf of bread. “Sorry about the pan. I never have been able to cook very well.”

“Thank you.” Nikolas said, taking the meat and vegetables and adding them to the pan. He added the herbs and turned to his friend. “It’s okay, I’m just glad you knew how to put out the fire. Put the bread on that sheet pan and set it in the oven, I’ll be right back.” He said, taking the pan off the heat so it wouldn’t burn.

“Picked up on that one pretty quick.” Levi said with a smirk, then he turned and did as asked. “Warming bread, I can handle.” He said, closing the oven.

“Hey, Henri?” Nikolas said, stepping into the sitting room.

“Yes?” Henri asked, blue eyes peering up from what he was doing.

“Food’s almost ready. I did the cooking so Levi couldn’t burn anything.”

Henri sniffed the air, “Might want to make that almost anything.”

“Dammit.” Nikolas said as a similar thought was heard coming from the kitchen. “Why don’t you bring the pan out Levi? Plates are already on the table.” He called.

Levi practically appeared in the room a few moments later, pan in one hand, potholders in the other. He set it on the table and the three of them set in on their food.
