@kingmaketh : jail, sender and receiver are both thrown into the same holding cell at a police station. // so about that twd au? maybe locked up in some community's cell for some reason?
Maybe sneaking into the pantry to steal a little food for the family that had allowed him to stay hadn't been wise, but it had been an act of kindness on their part and he didn't want them to go hungry. Aksel was fairly new to the community, they'd welcomed him with open arms after he'd helped fend off the walkers outside of the gates. But when he'd arrived he'd needed a place to stay, the family in question had given up one of their rooms and he'd felt like he owed them something - taking a little extra food had been the best he could do. But he was neither sneaky nor smart and he'd failed at the first hurdle - caught trying to pick the lock that kept the pantry closed.
How long had he been in the cell? He wasn't sure, it had been a day or two at least and the longer he'd sat there the more he'd wondered if they'd forgotten about him. If they hadn't then maybe they intended to kick him out and leave him to the walkers? It had been a stupid idea but damn, one of them had been sick and he'd wanted to do something.
When the door to his cell opened, Aksel sat up right and looked to see another man being escorted inside. He caught the gaze of the familiar guard before the door was locked shut behind them both, then his attention went to the other man stood in the cell with him. At least he had a little company, if nothing else. " What did you do? I bet it is more exciting than trying to steal some bread. " A small smirk tugged at his lips but didn't quite meet them. " Get comfortable, you are in for a long wait. "
