@comicaurora just bought a cricut and needed to test it out, so i thought i’d jump on the toasty bridal carry train!

Paper cutout animation test! Featuring my wip Moho rig.

I made a quick animation in Moho and then exported the individual frames and used a cricut to cut them out. Then, I did a "quick stop-motion test" on a makeshift light table because I am apparently insane.

(Adding a few sheets of vellum helped sell the look.)

The Moho animation took about 30 mins...filming the stop-motion shot also only took about 30 mins. (because it was only 2 seconds.)

But the printing, cutting, gluing, and other fabrication.....took days.

Anyways—behold him.

I FINALLY FINISHED IT! For like two years now I've wanted to get a good papercraft version of the lantern from the Over the Garden Wall album art made and after like 9 prototypes I'm finally satisfied.

The plan was always to put up the SVG on Etsy once it was done and...well it's a little late in spooky season to be launching this but I'm doing it anyway! OTGW originally aired in November so there's plenty of time to make one for yourself XD anyway you can get the files and assembly instructions here (It's one of only two items on my literally brand new Etsy page lol) and if you use the code SOFTLAUNCH40 it'll be 40% off from now until Halloween.
