I'm writing my MA thesis on Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and every damn time I read about Bernard and Helmholtz, I always imagine them eventually falling in love with each other on that island they get sent to (Iceland?) and living a happy life in a cottage reading books and learning how to live like a "savage". (I'm imagining Bernard as Harry Lloyd - I KNOW HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE SHORT BUT I LOVED HARRY AS BERNARD IN THE 2020 SERIES I'M SO SORRY (no, I'm not) - and Helmholtz as Andrew Garfield). I'm planning to write a fanfic on it :')

Brave New World Characters on Halloween

John: Some basic shit like Jason from Friday the 13th, but he would insist on explaining why its scary when people ask him about it.

Bernard: Flimsy grim reaper costume, complete with plastic scythe that he holds the whole night because without it he just looks like a guy in a robe.

Lenina: Flapper, but like, weirdly well done where she looks more like she’s in the Great Gatsby than wearing a Halloween costume.

Helm: Sexy Green M&M (think the Bambi on PS2 meme), encourages her staff to dress up as characters from her movies.

Henry: Sexy Sherlock Holmes where he wears a dress shirt that’s way too tight for him and has to talk around the pipe in his mouth all night, but still manages to be really annoying.

Frannie: Sexy cat, of course. Everybody like sexy cat, even if Lenina claims she doesn’t.
