Getting more confident about the pack trip :D

Read if you'd like. May be TMI for some people. I'm learning to be very open. We're all human, we all have mostly the same body functions. Whatever.

Got my Diva Cup (still gonna pack pads just in case). Gonna practice a bit before we go.

Gonna be getting some new insoles for my boots. My mom has a pair that haven't been used, so I'm going to try those tomorrow at work. If they work, I'll use those, but I'm gonna be looking into getting the Dr. Scholl's athletic insoles or use the foot mapping one and getting whatever that recommends. Because right now, my boots kill my feet (the balls of my feet) and with how my knee gets messed up when riding for so long, the pain in my lower right leg just gets ridiculous.

Considering getting a FUD (feminine urinary director) as well. I'm a big girl. I can't squat very well, and I'm really uncomfortable with the thought of peeing out in the great out doors. The whole "Guys have it so easy" thing is turning into "Well, it can be that easy for me too". Last summer, I somehow managed to not have to go while out on the trail (longest was 7.5 hrs away from camp), but I always got off my horse, my foot and knee killing me, trying to get to the bathroom as fast as  possible (a nice little walk away from the horses), doing the potty dance the whole time, and barely making it. :/ So I think it would be very nice to not have to worry about mooning everyone, falling, getting my clothes wet or anything else while I'm out and about. $23 bucks, cheaper than my Diva Cup and I'm sure well worth it. I go plenty of places where I think "Yeah... don't really wanna sit or really use the 'bathroom', so I can think of plenty of ways this would come in handy.

Also thinking of getting some dry/no rinse shampoo. We have a 'shower' there, but the water's cold and I generally don't like cold water to wash my hair because I have a lot of hair and it takes forever to get all the shampoo out. So there's another 5 bucks. *shrug*

I'm getting less nervous and more confident/excited about the pack trip. :D In feeling more confident about the trip, I'm feeling better about my slight chances of getting to work out there, and am getting more confident that I'm ready to work out there if I get the job.

It's racking up money that I have shell out for this trip, but at least all the items I'm purchasing can be used outside of the trip too. I feel bad that I have to ask my mom to buy the insoles if I need them, and the FUD and dry shampoo. Buuuut I have a small job. So I'll be able to buy the FUD at least on my own (like I was able to do the Diva Cup) when I get paid tomorrow.
