Do you have any tips when making backgrounds with perspective? I'm fairly new to it and I love how dinamic yours look!

Hello! Thank you! I've been studying a lot of perspectives recently, it's still not perfect, but it's been really fun.

First I draw the perspective lines, the point in the middle is the vanishing point.

I base all my lines based on that point.

And you're done.

Shade it and whatnot.

It's nothing too fancy, just a lot of perspective theory! Remember your perspective lines.

How to draw what you’re thinking 101

Ask yourself these 2 questions. 

First, am I familiar with what I want to draw? Second, will I stay determined until the final product?

The first question asks if you have enough capability to draw what you have in mind. If not yet, I recommend studying some anatomy references, paying close attention to how the body works and looks. This will avoid frustration.

Second question determines your willingness to finish the drawing. Even if the drawing doesn’t seem to be going well, it won’t stop you from achieving what you want.

Now, you want to draw someone sitting but the idea is blurry. To solidify it, just make the basic structure! It doesn’t have to be perfect on the first try, you just need to let it out!

It’s out.

Add flesh.

Add more details until you’re satisfied.

How do you make cartoon head proportion.?

And also! Remember that there are different kinds of head shapes, like square, round, etc. and not every head is an oval!

Perspective: Warm colors appear closer. Cold colors appear farther. Focal Point: The brighter an object, the more attention it gets. The darker an object, the more distant it appears. When objects around the subject subtly face it, the more the main subject stands out, it's simply like pointing fingers to the focal point. Color blending: Red = Orange Orange = Yellow Yellow = Green Green = Blue Blue = Violet Violet = Red (And vice versa)

Do you have any anatomy advice?

Well, I’ll list it down:1. Study anatomy - Try looking around Pinterest for body references, Kibitzer’s art gallery on DeviantART, or even here on tumblr.2. Practice - You can devote at least a few minutes everday to draw and get a hang of anatomy. Study how the body works through the references you’ve gathered and try to copy it. Note: Copy it, retrace it or combine the poses! It’s a big help, but don’t post it online just yet. We don’t want to get into trouble, do we?3. Try new things - Casual standing up pose, sitting down pose, peace pose, go a little outside the box. Get crazy with your poses and try making them fly, run in an extraordinary way, or hold an object. But as much as you want it to look dynamic, having a pose look natural and not stiff keeps you attached to the art.

Another Note: When you feel like there’s no improvement, relax! You’ll get there, just keep practicing and sooner you will perfect your craft.

Can you give tutorial how to make camera movement animation manually?

In Sai, make a canvas and add 100px more. The Excess Area(EA) will give you extra space to move your Actual Working Area (AWA) with nocuts. (Make a box with the exact size for the AWA so you know where to focuson!)

Drawyour animation. Let’s be using a single frame as an example. 

When you’re done with drawing your animation, remove thesquare box.

In Photoshop, make a canvas with the size of the AWA.

Get all your animation frames and stack them together inanother file and move your animation layers to the canvas you’ve made.

Now things get tricky! If you’re familiar with the basicanimation pane in Photoshop, make the starting frame (Frame 1) with no cameramovement, then the second frame (Frame 2) you would move your picture with yourarrow keys to the left (or right). Frame 3, move it more and so on and forth.

It will look like this:

Hhhhh! For some reason Tumblr forbidded me from answering directly.

To draw The Judge, make a circle for his head, body and paws. Then add the other details. (But The Judge isn't much of a cat because of his big eyes, head and mouth. xP) However, drawing a semi-realistic cat isn’t different from drawing the verbose character. Your cat can vary depending on its breed, like a Munchkin who has really short legs and fluffy fur, a Siamese who has really long legs, and etc. Simply draw a circle for the head, 2 triangles for the ears, 2 almonds for the eyes, a nose and a mouth that looks like this :3 .  To make cat poses, once again, draw a circle for the breasts and a bigger circle for the hind leg. Add lines poking out to make the arms and tail. Put little details like fur and whiskers.

Anyway, just keep practicing! Learning to draw something doesn’t happen overnight, try to give at least an hour each day to practice the shapes, you’ll get there! And thank you!
