“Just stop. I already said no, so please stop.” Remus huffed as he entered the dorm.
“Moony, it’s a supermoon. We don’t know what could happen.” James tried to reason as they all filed into the room.
“Exactly, we don’t know what’s going to happen and I won’t let any of you get hurt or killed or god forbid bitten because of me” Remus hissed as he spun around.
The Marauders recoiled. Remus was not one to get angry very often.
“If I find out that any of you are with me tommorow night I swear to god I will go straight to Dumbledore and tell him about everything.” His normally honey brown eyes were dark with anger, fear, and pain.
He turned back around and fell onto his bed, breathing heavily.
Sirius moves forward and knelt in from of him. “Love, talk to us” he pleaded as he tucked a strand of hair behind Remus’s ear.
“I can’t hurt any of you. I can’t” Remus said forcefully. His voice tight with emotion.
Sirius shifted so he was on one knee. “First off, it’s not you that hurts us. It’s the wolf. And second, if you really don’t want us to be there we won’t be. But don’t think that’s going to stop us from staying up all night and crying at every howl. And risking breaking our ankle to get down to the hospital wing” Sirius smiled.
Remus attempted one but it was only a little twitch before pain overtook his features.
“I’m scared” he whimpered.
“Of what baby?” Sirius asked softly, trying to act like his heart hadn’t just broken at the sound of his boyfriend in pain.
“Changing, the moon, all of it” He tried to choke back a sob. His forehead falling onto Sirius’s shoulder. “It’s h-hell on normal moons but the moons not full for another 4 days and it hurts so bad. I can’t- I can’t” he gave up the battle with his tears and sobbed.
Sirius kissed the top of his head and tried to sooth the pain in anyway he could think of. “I’m so sorry baby. You know I would take it all away in a second if I could.”
“Please” Remus begged, his entire body shaking under Sirius’s hands. Sirius could feel his muscles rippling with each wave of pain.
“Jesus fucking Christ” Sirius muttered as he struggles to figure out how to help. “Get Pomfrey” he tells James and Peter who run out of the room.
The next time they walk into the room, Remus is seizing on the bed. A pale Sirius frozen beside him, tears falling down his face.
They don’t see Remus again until after the moon.
