I'm asking in good faith, is it bad I avoid aplatonic people typically? I have multiple disorders that make me attached to people easily. If someone is aplatonic not seeking friends I'd just get attached to a impossible friendship and it'd hurt. Am I evil for this?
I wasn't sure how to answer this at first.
However, it's not bad or evil to take care of your mental health. However I would suggest checking out the notes on this thread as there as some really good points.
I won't be making any points here that others have already made that were also very good and insightful. Though I would encourage you to challenge yourself. Is there anything stopping you from communicating with aplatonics that you may know or encounter about whether they want friendships or not? Why? Some apls actually really do want friendships, such as plato-favorable apls - we're not all the same. Desire is not the same as attraction.
Doing this could improve your interactions with us, and could not only benefit your mental health but the mental health of apls as well. Do your best to keep yourself healthy, but also respect and support us too.
You don't have to any long term encounters or relationships with anyone that you don't want to, but do your best to challenge any blocks you might have around us as a community.
I would encourage you to read these pieces of the same thread I linked before in full too:
