Roberto was the first Latin American Baseball player enshrined into the Hall of Fame, he was, and still remains, the only player to forgo the mandatory 5 year waiting period. While his accomplishments were worthy of the Hall Of Fame, it was his acts of benevolence off the field that made him legendary. Roberto Clemente was the epitome of a humanitarian and went above and beyond to use his celebrity to change our world for the better.
