A piece I created to submit to the art magazine on campus.

Thank you to the people from helpyoudraw for their input. I ended up choosing a different pose all-together.

Admittedly my scale and perspective might be off, but I was rushed and just wanted to get it done to meet the deadline.

Here is a little tutorial about the bamboo-work – some of You asked me, how i did it. This is really "quick’n’dirty" but it explains the basics... . Thank You all for Your great comments to the last post!!!!♥️ . Some asked me about "reference": Well, i went into our garden, had a concentrated look at our bamboo and got back to my "drawing-chair" and started this out of my memory and/or phantasy :-) Have fun, cheers, Miki

I JUST FIGURED OUT SOMETHING IN SAI AND IT HAS JUST CHANGED MY LIFE///

Like IDK if other people have this problem too, but sometimes SAI crashes on me and I don't have the drawing saved, and all I have is a screenshot of the lineart or something. But its not transparent so I can't color underneath it, like this:

BUT NOT TO WORRY, I HAVE COME WITH A SOLUTION

Ok, its pretty simple actually. All you have to do is set the layer the lineart is on to MULTIPLY. Like so:                                                                                         

And ta-dah! You're good to go c:

*But now, what if you want to change the color of the lineart too? Then just follow these two steps:

Create another layer on top of the lineart and set it to CLIPPING GROUP, so it stays within the image. After that, set that layer to the setting SCREEN.               

    Then, just color the lineart 

That's it! You're done *u* Seems easy enough, right?

Took on a challenge from HelpYouDraw to draw a detailed human skull.  Decided to put a twist to it by blending some violet and light magenta. 

Medium: Colored pencil (and regular pencil)

Time: 3 hours...ish?
