reverie ;)

REVERIE: think of somewhere otherworldly u wish to be within, what is it like there? 

okay. well, there was this one time when i was feeling exhausted (because sometimes school settles into your bones, heavy with dust, and leaves you feeling empty inside.) i laid in the bathtub, curled into myself, and listened to ravel’s daphnis et chloé, suite no.2 . i closed my eyes and let the music swallow me whole.

daphnis et chloé is honestly made of glimmers of magic - so otherworldly and ethereal - that it transports you to a completely different place, a headspace with voices half-glimpsed and half-heard in the shadows of cypress trees and marble statues.

i can’t really describe this next part - because although there was just so much detail, it was at the same time unclear and thus, hard to put into words. 

as i laid there, pressed to the floor, everything melted away. white tile watered into soft, rich, brown earth. i was now lying in the midst of a shallow brook, face tilted upwards, body immobile. my hair streamed with the bubbling black-blue water - and it was such a good sensation, so calming and full of gentle movement; in each strand, the roots of water lilies and trees and golden fishes entangled themselves. yellow butterflies landed on the crown of my head, slowly fluttering their wings.

i looked up, and around me was an primeval forest - trees spread in an undergrowth so thick almost no light passed through. only here, where i drifted, did the light softly penetrate and illuminate the world around me with yellows and greens. the trunks, ancient and powerful with age, were silent. all around me was a deep green - that faded into blue-black the further away you looked. i closed my eyes again, content to float forever.

now, whenever i feel stressed or just wistful - i think and wish of that little brook, lost to the woods, lost to time, lost to everyone but me.

you just gave me the mental image of shoma and sota at possible future WTTs and now i need it like air, this is what i'm living for now

the only important question is who will be the captain of TJ without Dai/Mao/Akko, Taka?? I vote Satoko. Let’s invite and make Shoma team captain. The horror, the embarrassment, it would be beautiful.

i vote for unco taka, but satoko is probably the most mature person in tj right now. also HELEN THAT IS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT can you imagine shoma having to lead the team spirit effort in the k&c i think he would rather die. make sota do it.
