A cinema eye on an island L'Hemisfèric is an IMAX Cinema, planetarium and laserium in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. Built on the former riverbed of the river Turia, L'Hemisfèric is designed like a giant eye, "The eye of knowledge". It is placed in a water pool and is the centerpiece of the modern buildings designed here. It was the first building finished and open in the Science City-complex in 1998. It is 110 meter long and 55,5 meter wide. The surface in glass and steele has a total surface of 13 000 m2. The architect is Santiago Calatrava. One of the many peculiar design details are the audio design in the building. It is possible for two people placed near certain pillars each end of the building to have a normal conversation. The City of Arts and Sciences are one of the 12 treasures of modern Spain. It is both a tourist destination and an important place for entertainment and education. In line behind L'Hemisfèric is the Science Museum, the L Assut d'Or Bridge and the exhibition building CaixaForum Valencia in the Agora. https://www.visitvalencia.com/en/what-to-do-valencia/valencian-culture/cultural-places/lhemisferic #art #architecture #hemisfericvalencia #imax #2015CE #theater #citywalk #artsandscience #science #museum #center #Santiago #Calatrav #pool #lake (at L'Hemisfèric) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgmUAa5PjbA/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
