Today, Rosie had a right hemithyroidectomy. She has had a thyroid nodule for 6 years, but it’s grown enough this year that is was causing hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, and neck discomfort. The nodule was wrapped onto her trachea, so there was a lot of pressure.
