Okay so this is gonna be a long post. It contains spoilers for Ok K.O’s “Prequel” finale ending.
PLEASE. DO. NOT. REBLOG UNLESS TAGGED PERSONALLY BY ME. THIS ISN’T FREE SPECULATION IS MY OWN HEADCANONS AND REASONING.
DO NOT REBLOG
First of all I just want to say I loved the ending, sure things got a little messy and screwy but I adored that KO finally accepted that TKO is an important part of him that needed him just as much as KO did.
Perfect KO or PKO is an incredible metaphor for children and even adults to understand that negative emotions while nasty and intrusive are still incredibly needed to better ourselves. I liked that Boxman finally admitted to love his children and in the end, they had their own little happy ending too.
But what I really wanna focus on is this scene.
Let's make thing one thing clear.
Fink is NOT a hero. Fink wouldn’t have done this for anyone else, not even Boxman or any of the robots. It wasn’t a heroic sacrifice or a turn-page moment where she realized being good was always her path.
Fink will never be a hero. Fink’s a minion. A devoted self-center brat that only cares about herself and her boss. Fink grows to tolerate and value Boxman and the robots but she would never be willing to die for any of them (IN CURRENT TIME)
Fink will always stand by Venomous. Always defend and protect her boss because he’s always stood for her. We as audience know-how much Venomous truly means to Fink but, I don’t think Venomous realized that himself until it was too late. Surprised and taken back by her still trying to defend him after he pushed her away and took TKO as a son despite her always being there for him.
Venomous took power over her completely disregarding her emotions and even then she still was willing to give her life for him. Smiling till the very end.
It was then that I realize that Fink doesn’t NEED to call Venomous Dad, because in a way their relationship is so much more than that and I feel like it was at the exact moment Venomous lost Fink that he realized he didn’t need a world to conquer.
He didn’t need Boxman or robots. Or his money. (AT THE CURRENT TIME)
Venomous forgot he already had a world all to his own wrapped in a chaotic destructive bundle of joy and he had thrown it away.
even TKO couldn’t understand why Fink would sacrifice herself even if it was just to spare him a few seconds when all of them knew just because he blasted her it wouldn’t stop him from blasting Venomous.
I feel like for a second Fink managed to remind TKO what love and caring for someone else was. It caught him off guard and he wasn’t prepared for FINK. The nastiest most destructive and chaotic person he’s met, someone that lives for chaos and to bully others would sacrifice herself so willingly.
I don’t know maybe I’m just hyper fixated but, I feel like this moment was incredibly needed by BOTH TKO and Venomous.
I hope Venomous realizes just how much he means to Fink. That he can be happy with her and their new family.
