I can't handle that people are talking to you like this :( If they themselves were trying to keep the name Christian in good spirits then they wouldn't be treating you this way. As christians, we aren't called to tear each other when we may have made a mistake, we are supposed to act in love all the time. Calling you a jerk is no where near speaking and acting of love. Your heart was in the right place. They have no place to say what they did.

hey...I think I may have missed something between you and an anon, but don't let them get you down. Let you have repeated many times, you are not perfect and you do make mistakes.
