It was a blue bird morning, especially shocking after hiking in dense clouds the day before to get to Alta Meadow. I hung my beloved Hennessy hammock a bit before the meadow, actually, due to the visibility being too low to find a suitable spot farther into the meadow proper. The trail is just on the other side of the small snow pack, and you can see the ground cover is frozen before the next bunch of trees... waking up and seeing that there were trees (places to hang) everywhere was funny.
