Adult Swim Announced Digital Short Spin-Offs from Four Series - “Rick and Morty,” “Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell,” “Robot Chicken,” and “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”

Adult Swim has announced four digital short mini spin-off series following characters from of inspired by Rick and Morty, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell, Robot Chicken, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. 

The Vindicators follows Supernova, Vance Maxiumus, Alan Rails, Crosubot, and Noob Noob from Rick and Morty while they save...or maybe destroy...worlds. The series is executive produced by Erica Rosbe, Sarah Carbiener, Dan Harmon, and Justin Roiland.

Alabama Jackson, created by Donald Faison during a Robot Chicken panel at San Diego Comic Con, is a time traveler with a knack for landing in the wrong place at the wrong time. “If he can survive the past long enough to get back to the present, he just might find something he wasn’t looking for—himself.” (Warner Bros.) The series is created by Faison and produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios.

Aquadonk Side Pieces follows Aqua Teen Hunger Force where fan can learn what happened to side characters and villains in their later lives. The series was created by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis.

Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell: The Animated Series is the fifth season of the show, now as animated shorts. “Cruel boss Satan (Matt Servitto), bumbling demon Gary (Henry Zebrowski), and all your other favorites return in America's beloved workplace comedy set in hell.” (Warner Bros.) The series is created by Casper Kelly and Dave Willis and produced by Willaims Street.

DC Comics Announces “Soul Plumber”

DC Comics has announced Soul Plumber, a new 6-issue series from Marcus Parks, Henry Zebrowski, and Ben Kissel, the hosts of “The Last Podcast on the Left.” Parks, Zebrowski, and Kissel are joined by artist John McCrea. Soul Plumber will release under the new DC Horror imprint for mature readers 17+.

Soul Plumber follows disgraced former seminary student Edgar Wiggins. Edgar “is desperate to find a way to answer what he believes is his higher calling. He thinks he’s found it in a seminar hosted in a hotel conference room by the Soul Plumbers, who have a machine that could be the secret to delivering souls from Satan. Edgar’s too broke to buy in, but that’s not enough to stop this true devotee: he steals the blueprints and builds a pirated version with what components he can afford on his gas station attendant salary.  Then he goes after a demon, misses… and ends up pulling out something much worse.” (DC Comics)

Soul Plumber #1 (of 6), featuring a main cover by McCrea, an open order variant cover by Tom Neeley, and a 1:25 variant cover by Riley Rossmo, goes on sale on October 5, 2021.
