tries to convince the other to do an idea that definitely sounds questionable: Again, neither of them. But if pushing someone out of their comfort zone counts it’s Ben.

is the designated driver and who always gets wasted: DD is both of them since Henry doesn’t drink and Ben would never get wasted. 

always has to host the impromptu sleepover: Henry, because he has an actual house and not a studio apartment lol.

brings all the snacks and who supplies the movie: Henry bring the snacks and Ben supplies the movie. Could be either or, but Ben wouldn’t miss a chance for treats made by Henry.

is usually the first one to say sorry after a fight: I’m sorry, Henry and Ben fight? Like that would ever happen. But if it did, I think Henry might beat Ben to the punch when it comes to apologizing. Just because he anxiously spits it out the moment he sees Ben again.

is the ‘ mom friend ‘: Okay now I know Henry has a lot of mom friend qualities in the nurturing aspect, but when it comes to Benry, it’s  Ben. I feel like Ben puts his well-being on the back burner to make sure Henry is taken care of cause he knows Henry would also put his loved ones before himself.

calls the other at 12 am to wish the other a happy birthday without fail: Ben def does this, and Henry seems like that type to do this too tbh.

is the better wingman to the other: Ben. I feel like Henry is too shy to be a wingman.

‘ the strong must protect the sweet ‘ , who’s the ‘ strong ‘ and who’s the ‘ sweet ‘: Henry is of course sweet and Ben is strong. Ben is always going to look out for Henry.

pulls the other up for karaoke to sing a duet together: Ben would ask first, but he wouldn’t hesitate in doing this.

(to: henry, unsent): i know you’ve been gone for a day but i think your chickens miss you. and i do too. it’s going to be weird without you here. idk i got used to seeing you all the time and you’re one of my closest friends. i hope that you’re doing well. i hope everything sorts itself out. 

(to: henry, unsent): i’m going to the doctors soon to find out if i have the gene. i’m really fucking terrified. i know you’re busy with your shit and i don’t want to bother you. i just wanted to tell someone how scared i am. 

(to: henry, unsent): sometimes i get really mad because i know that my mom would have loved you. it makes me angry at the world that the world took her away from me. it’s just not fair. she would have loved you. probably would have saw you like her son. she always wanted another kid. i like to think that wherever she is she’s looking out for you, too. 

(to: henry, unsent): did you know jillian and i used to be best friends? i keep seeing her around town and i keep wanting to say something to her but i never have the words and all of our conversations end up just hurting. and it’s neither of our faults. it’s just how it is. people change. we changed. idk why i’m telling you this. i just want to tell someone that i miss her. thanks for being my friend. sorry to unload all of this on you. it’s not fair of me to do that. but you deserve the world. also, i’m a little drunk. this text probably isn’t making much sense. 

(to: henry, unsent): i got the test results back. i have the alzheimers gene. i kind of already knew i did, but seeing it with my two eyes is kind of frightening. you know i had said before that i never really wanted kids, i just don’t think i’d be a good mother. now it’s kind of like the possibility is forever stripped from me for good. i wouldn’t want to put my kids what i went through. i don’t know what to do. 

(to: henry): just wanted to let you know that i was thinking about you today. i know that i’ll see you later but i just wanted you to know that you were on my mind. someone told a funny joke at work today and i wish that you were there to hear it. i think you would have liked it. had to do with baking. see you soon.

Sloane nervously stood outside of Henry’s door. It had been a few weeks since fae had returned from the east coast. Since visiting with family, fae was slowly starting to realize that fae needed to really open up to faer valley family. It felt only right to start with Henry. Which was why after weeks of discussing it, the two of them finally locked down dinner plans and fae stood outside of his door in a bit of a nervous state compared to faer typical calm demeanor. After taking a few deep breaths, fae knocked on the door. 

“Evening Henry. I brought the requested herbs and spices, is this enough for a ticket inside?” fae joked.

Before heading into the city to sell faer wares, Sloane headed into town early in the morning to get some baked goods. It was how fae started the week to keep faerself going, especially after a hectic weekend of work. Mondays and Thursdays, fae would show up at Henry’s home to buy some baked goods. With an extra hop in faer step, Sloane walked up to Henry’s home. Lightly, fae rapped against the door, waiting for him to answer. “Henry, you awake? I need my sugar fix.”

On April 14th, a wrapped box and small bag are left on Henry’s porch, with a small note sticking out. In the box is a weighted blanket, in the bag are small jars of spices (lavender, pumpkin spice, nutmeg, poppy seed, and star anise), a tea mix, and a mug.
