So there used to be 13 districts and the Capitol. 13 played a key part in the first rebellion, there's a war, the Capitol was under siege. The citizens starved and some cannibalism occurred. Then 13 got destroyed and the war was won at a steep price. The Snow family had most of their money invested in 13 and lost everything in the war. Snow's cousin Tigris implied she was forced into sex work to keep the family fed when Coryo was judgemental about his tribute Lucy Gray possibly doing the same. Which is ultra nasty considering she was 8-11 during that time and Snow was 6-9

Anyway in an au where they were older during the war and Snow followed Tigris out and saw her negotiating with Henry, the hairy fisherman from District 4 (the fishing district where 70 years later another Victor was reaped and forced into prostitution by Snow to pay back the money spent on his victory). He's decided to be Ser Davos, THG version.

Would be funny if Snow refuses but after another month of starvation he bit the bullet and spent the war on his back earning food.
