In some parts of Europe hepatitis E is endemic zoonosis where the  venison (pigs, wild boar, deer etc) are the source of the virus. When the meat doesn´ t reach around 80 celsius (176 F for my US folks) while roasting it still can be transmitted. 

In Europe we have  genotype HEV 3. In  developing countries the genytopes HEV1 and 2 are transmitted also interpersonally fecal-oral route.

The clinical presentation is similar to hep A, can be unsymptomatic or acute or even fulminant. Even with folks without preexisting medical conditions. 

I have seen previously healthy folks yellow as canards with Bi over 300 and transaminases around 100.  It´s rare but it happens.
