I work with machines to honor your wisdom. I work with my hands to honor your power. I work with both to honor you.

Everything I've ever made, and will ever make, is in your name.

Master of fire and anvil,

Forger of bronze and gears,

Hephaestus, the lame god,

hear this call.

All that I forge, let it fall under your sight;

all that I wield, let it be judged by your hand.

Let rust be driven away,

let obstruction be undone,

let false machines lose the right to function.

If it is unfit, let it break;

if it overreaches, let it be dismantled;

if it is false, let its flaws be revealed.

Hephaestus, light of the artisan,

with this small offering,

I call for your presence!
