Got a wave of inspiration for one of my original fic ideas, a princess x pirate love story in a fictional world. Only problem is I cannot for the life of me decide on the princess's name, soooo I'm asking tumblr for the best options (totally a good idea, I'm sure).

Some context: She's headstrong, wants control of her life, and is honestly not too upset about the whole getting-kidnapped-by-handsome-pirate-captain thing. The kingdom she's from is similar to a Germanic/Anglo/Norman country, so her name should match similar languages, and any names that evoke the sea or night sky vibes are peak choices. Without further ado....

Which name is best for the headstrong princess?

Leilah

Maren

Marion

A dear friend of mine pointed out the blessed idea of a Pupper AU. And I just-I just need you all to see this pit bull Luffy, okay?

There were other doodles made but I feel as if it is a great disservice not to show off this quality Loof.

Luffy:

Luffy is the most eager to fly with her.

The infiltrator has stabbed him with a fork for trying to swipe her food and proceeded to continue eating with her hands like it never happened.

We never talk about the “Can I see yours?” incident.

She calls him “Captain” more often then not; especially towards the beginning when trying to prove herself to the crew.

Don’t dance with Luffy unless you are prepared to deal with the extremes in tension; whiplash is likely, otherwise.

Luffy is the main reason why the door frame of her workspace is charmed.

Unlike Chopper, Sanji, and Usopp, he is mostly unaffected by the witch’s projection talent.

Serena has answered more ‘spontaneous’ or rather personal questions than she probably should have by now. Though she hasn’t seemed to lose patience yet; carefully explaining as far as his attention span will allow.

The owl will not turn a deaf ear to his order for aide even when it’s for something silly such as a water gun fight.

Luffy has, by some means, been exposed to every one of her concoctions so far and is the main reason why she has as many ‘antidotes’ and ‘relievers’ on her as she does.

He has caught his head into the locking mechanism of Serena’s hat more times than should be needed.

Her Captain

Silvermoon City, present day.

“Don’t kneel.“ The blood knight’s armor creaked as he bent. “You are a soldier now, not a guardian.”

She lifted her chin. “You’re still a champion.”

Inaris extended his hand. “Get up.”

Her jaw clenched as she surged to her feet. Despite his anchoring hold, a sharp hiss escaped through her teeth.

His fingers tightened a fraction. “You should see a healer.”

“I’m fine,” she said and jerked her hand away.

His lips pressed together. “I read Bloodfury’s report.”

She said nothing.

He raked a hand through his hair and sighed, “You need rest, Sunchaser.”

Her eyes closed. “I’ll rest after the wedding.”

“A wedding? Whose wedding?”

“Mine.”

His ears rotated in the stunned silence.

She swallowed hard and asked, “Will you come?”

“Me?”

“Tana too.”

It took him a moment to find his voice, "I’m not sure how Tana will beha--"

“--please.”  Her fingers dug into her palm. “It’s easier to be brave when you are beside me.”

An odd brightness shone in the blood knight’s eyes. “We’ll be there.”  His hand closed over her shoulder. “Just promise you won’t kneel to me again.”

She managed a watery smile. “I promise, captain.”
