“Good evening Feirburg! I’m Wesley What and you’re watching Horror Hour: a weekly program where we watch a film and/or interview a special guest. This week we are very fortunate to have BBC’s own Kate Reynolds.”
Wesley takes his eyes off of the camera and points his attention to his guest. “Welcome Miss Reynolds.”

“It’s lovely to meet you.” Lucy lies in bed, eyelids heavy and hair limp. She was excited to get a visitor, especially one from the BBC, but she was upset that it had to be under these set of circumstances. “I apologize for not taking your hand and for my,” a cough, “my appearance.”

“You stand there and accuse me, but where were you at the time?”

“You have the opportunity to show the entire world the version of you that you want them to see. Isn’t that right?”

“I have found a suitable male companion.” She smiles brightly. “He does not have blue eyes as you’ve suggested. He does not hold a position of power, but he is logical and resourceful. He is very kind.” Something happens when she speaks about him that she doesn’t understand, but it’s a feeling Aisie hopes will never go away.

“Was he considered handsome? The man that was your lover?”

He turns away from her to grab the kettle hanging above the fireplace. His home was small, but comfortable. He made it tall enough for him to stand to his full height so that was satisfactory to him. He pours her a cup of tea, unable to offer her any milk or sugar. While he does this he begin to speak, at a normal volume at first, but partly out of embarrassment and partly out of sadness, his voice dies down.
“I had not always lived in these woods among these shores. I was in Europe. I had a...friend there. He was my reason for leaving”
