i think that's a fair assessment! the weird route does a number on queen – she doesn't get to even consider letting go of spending herself up trying to make noelle happy, her entire kingdom is gone and most of her subjects with it, and her last moments with it were spent watching it be hijacked by her ex-something-or-other. i definitely don't think us fighting her there is going to end well for her at all, but the weird route's not exactly a place for happy endings, so i can't imagine her making it out alright even if there wasn't a precedent set by other bosses dying similarly. the worldstate says that darkners are the lightners' tools and the lightners are our tools – and the weird route, at least to me, is about us taking that notion and employing it to the absolute.
