i haven't seen the psa but from what I understand people are annoyed about it because it's specifically talking about female characters and how they shouldn't always be short and female characters are already unfairly treated on rp so...
you can read the psa there and nowhere does it say that a female character cannot be short. my point is, love your ladies.
