Ever wonder what herb farmers are up to in the wintertime? Here's one thing: garbling (silly word for removing desired material—typically leaves and flower parts—from stems) herbs at our wonderful commercial kitchen at JP's First Baptist Church. We had such a bumper crop of thyme last year that we still had bushels of waiting for some attention in the still room. Dearest Friends, we have 💗🍃Huge News🍃💗 to share with you! During the last two years we have been working our tails off to nurture a sweet little piece of Dracut, MA into a magical haven rich with color, sustenance, and love. Throughout the months we've seen our farm transform from a frozen snowdrift to a bare field filled with empty beds and so many square feet of possibility. We've sowed thousands of seeds and transplanted tray after tray of green seedlings. As the springs unfurled into summers we watched leaves outstretch and flowers turn their petals toward the sun. A million weeds came and went. Friends worked with us, making their hands dirty and tired and delighted with the beauty of work and devotion. In the fall we dug long lengths of roots and tucked fat cloves of garlic and flower bulbs into the generous earth. Each winter granted us rest as we dreamed in starry nights of the sunlight to come. In this, our third winter since the creation of our beloved farm, we are delighted, blessed, and unbelievably happy to announce that we are moving our operation to @thetrustees Bradley Estate in Canton, MA. While our piece of land in Dracut has been better to us than we could have ever imagined we are ready to be growing our herbs so much closer to our home and community. The massive reduction in our commute is going to allow us to devote more time than ever to our passion: growing the most delicious, aromatic, and healing plants that we can muster. We are thrilled and honored to do this in partnership with The Trustees of Reservations, an amazing organization which works tirelessly to foster and promote homegrown agriculture while protecting some of the most venerable properties in Massachusetts, including Emerson's #OldManse. As we all make our way into this brand new year and brave new world you can count on us to do all that we can to provide you with what we hope are the most vibrant plants you could dream of, now in a place that will make it easier than ever to gather and share in our love of this one precious life.
