It's so hard to do schoolwork because puppies.
Herby seems to like me or something.
Came home for lunch and Herby decided to lay down in the irrigation ditch. He certainly loves water now! :)
Cuddle bugs. :)
Herby is really cute until he falls asleep licking his butt.
Herby is so freaking smart! He's learned two new commands without any training, just by figuring it out on his own. The first is "go pee". Since I say it when I take him out, he's taken it as a command. Often I'll bring all three dogs out to pee, but Herby will try to play with Pixel instead of peeing. A few days ago I pointed to the corner of the yard where he pees (he only pees in one place) and said "go pee" and that's exactly what he did! Patrick has also inadvertently taught him the command "go find Kym". When I'm in another room and Patrick says it, even if I don't call him, Herby will go look for me throughout the house. He's just so smart and good and I love him. :)
About a week ago I made some bells that the dogs could use to tell us they need to pee.
We started ringing them when we brought them out right away so they would get used it it and then yesterday I started training the dogs to touch them with their nose or paw when I say “touch”.
Piglet (white) and Pixel (brindle) took to it after a few rounds of individual training and, although Herby (not shown) will do it, he is reluctant to (he really doesn’t care about treats).
Tonight Piglet rang the bells so I brought him out and he peed and I AM SO PROUD!
There is a clear scale of levels of intrigue regarding the open window.
