The snow fell in cascades, melting on his reddened cheeks and nose as he slowly trudged through the village gates. Had winters in Konoha always been this cold?

Walking down the empty street, he found all the shops were closed by this time of night, all the lights of all the houses long dimmed. Turning a corner — just a little bit more, then I’m home — Hikaku came across a lone figure, looking to be standing still with their face fixed on the sky. He briefly glanced up as well, because what was so interesting that someone would stand out in negative degree weather in the dead of night?

Nothing.

Still, he sighed in content. Zany people who did absurd miscellaneous things like these are what made home feel like home. He’d missed it. It was just so cold outside.

“You shouldn’t be outside in this kind of weather,” Hikaku remarked. It took him a second to recognize the girl, coming to a stop just a few feet behind her. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”

concept: you're an aroha. you want to make friends with other aroha to cry about astro, but you haven't gotten round to it. you join a secret aroha and get assigned another aroha that you can bless with cute asks (on anon, of course) or edits or fics or whatever you want, really. you start sending stuff once every two or three days and tracking their secret aroha tag and you start having full on conversations with them. then on 23 Dec you reveal that it has, all along, been you! you're now friends.
