This is a small toy called a “rattle” that we have here in Gaza. I searched for it everywhere in the sand but couldn’t find it… until I finally found one in Al-Zawiya market—the last one left with a street vendor.

Before the war, it cost just 1 shekel (about $0.27)… now it costs 10 shekels (about $2.70).

It’s just a toy, only something to distract my child Saeed for a while… just a simple toy that may not seem important to others.

But imagine… if a small toy costs this much, what about the essential things?

What about milk? What about diapers?

And what about medicines that we simply cannot live without?

We are not asking for much… just trying to survive, to calm our children’s cries, and to provide them with the most basic needs.

I am sharing this message not to complain, but to give you a real glimpse into our daily life and the struggles we face 💔

Every single day, even the most basic things have become difficult. Something as simple as cooking food for our family 🍲 is no longer guaranteed. There is often no wood available for fire 🔥 and when it is found, it is extremely expensive 🌲💸

Because of this, my children Odi and Ahmad 👦👦 sometimes go out to the market 🛒 to collect cardboard 📦 just so we can make a small fire and prepare a simple meal for the day. This has become part of our reality.

Gas is not always available ⛽❌ and when it is, the price is far beyond what we can afford 💔 Wood, which we depend on, can cost around 100 shekels per kilo (about $28 USD) 💸 which is impossible for us to sustain.

We are doing everything we can just to get through each day. Life has become a constant struggle for survival, but we are trying to stay strong for our children 🤍

I am sharing this with honesty and hope 🌿 hoping that someone, somewhere, can understand our situation and maybe offer even the smallest support. Even a little help can truly make a difference for us right now.

💔🍞 For the past two days, the community kitchen we relied on for food has completely stopped.

That kitchen was not just a place to get meals… it was the only thing keeping my family alive.

Today my family sat in front of empty pots while the children kept asking, “What will we eat?” and I had no answer for them… 😔

I swear the feeling of helplessness is destroying me slowly. Watching the people you love suffer from hunger while being unable to provide even a piece of bread is unbearable.

🏚️ The war already took our home, our safety, and our normal life — and now even food is gone.

We are living through extremely painful days filled with fear, hunger, and exhaustion.

Even sharing this post could help us reach someone willing to help.
