Reason #30021 I am over my job.
New partner* who is my age (35) gave me shit for walking in at 10:15 yesterday morning. I left work at 12:35 am.

I spent another 3 hrs w a coworker editing my review for horrible employee (after 2 hrs of my own time, 2 hrs w J making it hr friendly, and 2 more hours of review again Sunday). She helped me format my comments against the current job description we have posted for that job. There’s no way he’s qualified. I can’t believe we can only put him on probation. It’s also insanely draining to have to figure out how to say someone isn’t qualified and a waste of space politely. I can’t believe my boss has put me through this.

I now have 5 direct employees I manage. One summer intern, two new grads, horrible employee and a good kid who has 1.5 years experience. That’s not enough experience to be as helpful as needed. I can see this all piling on to be worse than the last 4 months have been.
*new partner is guy transferred up from our Atl office 3 years ago and we hung out and became friends. Someone then started rumors I was a home wrecker bc his gf wasn’t yet in dc. I promptly shut that down and did stop talking to him in the same way. He’s now awkward af and not super nice to me. Though does continue to give me “career advice” as if he was my dad. You’re not the company ceo yet dude. Back off.
