08.20.16 // I have an art journal!
I bought a drawing pad from target and it had a boring cover so I decided to make it much more personal.
The cover I made has the angelic rune on it (from The Mortal Instruments: my favorite book series of all time). I also thought it was appropriate because Clary, the main character, is an artist and always has her sketchbook with her, and she’s very connected to this rune so :)
On the first page, I have my word of the year (inspired by @hermionevibes), live. This summer I’ve discovered a lot of new things about myself; I have dreams and aspirations, and I’m starting to work towards a happy future.
I want to live life to the fullest. I don’t want to lay in bed and do nothing all day. I don’t want to fail high school. I’m way too special to throw everything away and I have so much to look forward to.
I want to really live. And this spread inspires me to do just that.
