What animal do you think the shells that Hermitaurs use originally came from? They're so odd.

Honestly it’s hard to say because they’re not modeled after any specific bone. I thought maybe they made it themselves and lose the ability to grow their own shell as they get older, but after I asked Kamen to take a look at the model it turns out the shell is outsourced.

My best guess is maybe they’re from some unknown arthropod or mollusk??

Since I'm house sitting this week I can't work on plushies, so I'm playing with sharpies and crayola watercolors instead!  I'm so excited about Monster Hunter World and since I can't play it while I'm house sitting, I decided to illustrate one of my favorite monsters from the series!  This is Lagiacrus!  He's an electric sea serpent dragon and he's very pretty.  I know it doesn't make sense for hermitaurs to hang out with Lagiacrus, but I don't care I love hermitaurs.
