Wonderful Cleo Hermitcraft stream tonight, Cleo was in a hwimsy mood and it was a delight.

I was mostly listening and had to dip in and out but some favorite bits:

Currently watching the vod of gems twitch stream from today and joel shows up 24 minutes in ^^

A LOT of fun in this one! Joel is really good at English accents, and he talks about why he says "Eefo" (which is the cutest damn thing)

First Hermitcraft stream post Past Life episode 1, some fun talk about it, especially with Scar. Some notes about that conversation under the cut, ft. Cleo being the biggest Ethubs fan.

Cleo and Scar wonder that the other´s episodes were so long - were they not entertaining enough? (jokingly)

Scar tells Cleo about the Cabincore Boys in the hot tub. Cleo, coming very close: "I´m sorry, the what?" Scar enthusiastically tells them about his team. Cleo says that´s a really nice team for him, really trustworthy and solid. Sometimes he ended up playing the villain for an entire season. Scar: "Bdubs and Etho are gonna keep me straight, and Scott?" Cleo: Ah, mmm, doubtful. Um..." Scar: "Oh wait." Cleo, laughing: "Bdubs and Etho, keep you straight? Mm?" (Later claims they have to say it because chat expects them to.)

Cleo. "Etho is very trustworthy, even though he pretends he isn´t." Scott would lay down his life, most of the time, for his team. And Bdubs won´t turn on Etho - which means he´d turn on the rest of them first, if it comes to it. Scar understands that Bdubs would leave Scar and Scott to die to save Etho. Cleo: "And it will be really good entertaining content, but you will be dead."

Scar asks Cleo if they´ve burned anything down yet. Cleo says no but the losers are really begging for it. Thinks it´s about 50:50 if Joel will lift his team up or end up at their level and is hoping for the latter.

Cleo mentions how Pearl is always like "everyone around me is dying," doesn´t think she´ll have to worry about that this time.

Cleo and Scar agree they should have a gravestone for Mumbo and Lizzie in their absence.

(around 0:25) Scar invites Cleo to the hot tub. Cleo: "Chilling one block apart, obviously." Scar: "Of course." Cleo: "Except for Etho and Bdubs, obviously."

(around 0:35) Who´s the favorite to win? Cleo thinks Scott and Grian might try to win and are pretty good, but also thinks it´s Etho´s turn. Scar: "You think we should lay down our lives for Etho?" Cleo: "No I think you should lay down your life for Etho."

Scar: what if Bdubs does? Cleo: "... I can´t imagine... well, if Bdubs lays his life down for Etho, I can´t imagine Etho being okay. I think that´d break him, I think that´d be it."

What if Skizz or Jimmy win? Cleo: then the Life series is over, it´s never happening again.

Cleo expects Joel to get so frustrated with his team he has an "if the ship burns everything burns" moment. It's an easy team to get rid of because they're "anything for the bit" people.

Some discussion about how everyone is just going chaos mode. Cleo looks forward to lying to people. Scar asks but not to him, right? Cleo says only benign lies.

They meet up with Ren and Gem (as in, Scar and Cleo fly over, Scar kills Ren, Gem kills Scar.) Ren wanted reassurance from Gem that they´re allies and Gem said no because they´re villains. Though they´re not very good at it. Also not very enthused about the team name, Cleo wonders why they let Grian name things.

"I´m not interested in killing people, I am interested in ruining their day." - Cleo

"What´s with all the villainy?" "´cause it´s funny." "Where´s the happiness?" "It makes me happy." - Ren & Cleo

Before I forget completely, some miscellaneous notes (possibly out of order) from Cleo´s 23.5.2025 stream, ft. secret plans, guests, and sculk, so much sculk.

Cleo is looking forward to doing Science!! No chat is not allowed to know more details because chat is not trustworthy.

Cleo needs help finding the hole (on the nether roof) (this time it´s Cub with the "that´s what she said" joke.)

Scar shows up to help. Cleo gives him sculk and he asks for more because it´s delicious. Kind of a lemon-y taste.

Cleo is building a tuff barrier around the sculk in their base: according to the rules of Cub´s lore, this should stop it.

Cub made a critical mistake. His sculk blocks interfered with Cleo´s armor stands. That´s one of Cleo´s few limits. "Okay, Cub´s gonna die."

Surprise Etho appearance, who juust missed saying "did that make you jump."

Cleo explains they´re doing science, Etho says he´s scared of Cleo, Cleo: you don´t need to be scared of me. Offers him sculk.

Etho ate some sculk. Cleo says he´ll be fine, it´s not dangerous; Etho is still going to stop at one.

Etho came here to offer Cleo to use his villagers if they want to.

"science, Etho! You like science"

Etho says he´s concerned about his place right next to Cub´s.

"I didn´t wanna say anything but I think Cub is actually placing the sculk" xD

More sculk removal, more flip-flopping between saying they are not mad at Cub and threatening him. Also teasers about the Science. [I think this might be related js.]

later Gem showed up and asked to see Cleo´s pants and Cleo asked if she wanted to eat some sculk and Gem wondered which side of the conversation was weirder.

Some notes from the latter part of yesterday´s Scar stream, mostly him and Gem talking about Past Life.

[earlier Scar talked about the Life series while looking for pandas and then had a longer chat with Cub, but no notes because I didn´t have a keyboard while listening.]

Scar asks Gem if they have a room to rent o.o xD Gem is down for it, if Scar protects them from fallout from episode 3.

Scar is so easy to blame ^^

Gem calls Etho basically an honorary villain

Scar wonders if he´s playing out of character: hasn´t set anything on fire, or stolen any enchanters...

Scar is proposing a secret alliance!

Scar will probably keep calling them the lilies and Gem is okay with that.

Gem says they´re in an alliance and Bdubs can moan and whine all he wants. Scar says Bdubs is a big moaner and whiner it´s okay, just compliment him a couple of times.

Scar tells Gem he wants Etho to win and Gem agrees it´d be fun and the perfect season for him to win.

Gem says Scar is also in a good position to win and Scar is convinced he´ll lose most of his lives soon

does Scar want a repeat win? not really. there´s so much pressure. Gem is kind of scared to win. She thinks Etho should win because the fandom would be nice to him. "I think they can handle an Etho win."

Scar just wants to make it to the last episode. Seeing Impulse win would be nice too.

(They´re so distracted a creeper blows up part of the desert exhibit. Cub is just riding around on a camel in the background the whole time btw.)

Scar thinks the fandom should ease up on people who are repeat winners. That´s what you get if a series is not scripted.

apparently it took Grian a while after the episode to tell the others about the secret society

Gem: Etho can´t lie, the man has a permanent constant smile on his face. He wants to tell Bdubs everything.

Gem: He´s so clumsy with his words! Scar: but he´s so good at Among Us! Gem: he´s good at Among Us because he susses out everyone else.

apparently Etho asked Scar at one point to try out King of the Ladder. Scar realizes this meant Etho set him up to die and is shocked and sad about it.

Gem says she invited Pearl too but then sent her on a mission so she wouldn´t actually play

Scar has an editor this season which means it´s harder to remember what happened. He hasn´t had a chance to watch any other episodes yet but plans to do so this night.

Gem says she has barely exchanged two words with the bread guys. Scar says the bread boys want to burn down the cabin, and what have we ever done to them. yes Bdubs stole their diamonds but other than that...

Tango did do a code yellow in the hot tub. Gem thinks Scar should pick a fight.

btw earlier someone suggested Scar do a react to animatics stream and he seemed willing but unsure how to set it up with getting permissions etc

Scar recently watched Jimmy watch animatics and remembered he called Tango and Jimmy the jolly ranchers. They´re now discussing the jolly rancher candy(?)

Gem lists all the teams and then says Martyn is almost out of the series so they won´t have to worry about him for too long

GIGGS mario kart soon! Gem can picture Tango complaining about a switch but not buying one. "that is a console that can be grumbled about"

they´re now talking about more games to play. Scar says he enjoyed bbq simulator. He enjoyed peeing on Skizz´ food.

I was distracted for a bit but they talked about Twitchcon locations and US/Canada geography.

Apparently the lag for this Life series is really bad. (Hermitcraft was saved by Montréal.)

Watching the VOD of Cleo´s 2.1.2026 Hermitcraft stream. Cleo just died when she found a trial chamber while looking for spore blossoms. As she´s venting, at around 1:10 into the stream, Etho shows up in her storage room, gifts them a notch apple and offers to come with if they need help. Cleo says she thinks she´ll be fine and asks him to confirm that trial chambers are not that hard, Etho (after a pause) does and says she´ll be fine.

Etho: "Have fun, Cleo!"

Cleo: "I appreciate your boundless... uh... not optimism... confidence in me."

Etho: "Etho-ism."

Cleo: "Yeah, that too."

Spoilers for the outcome:

Cleo flew back with wings gifted by FedxB. xB was encouraging in chat, Etho got pop corn. Cleo got back to the trial chamber and promptly died again. (Mostly because they were underestimating the danger and slow to react.)

xB immediately offered to get her stuff. Etho slow clapped in chat. But he did join xB to get Cleo´s stuff back because Cleo was done.

Cleo joined their group. Etho, audibly smiling: "How´s life, Cleo? You having a great day?"

Then they brought back Cleo´s stuff and Etho gave Cleo coords to another lush cave closer and Cleo did find spore blossoms even though it was a small one. Fun stream for everyone except poor Cleo ^^

At the beginning of Cleo´s Christmas stream Wels said he & others ranked Cleo the most sarcastic Hermit. Cleo said they don´t actually think that´s true: "I´m very close, but, uh, there are people that are more sarcastic but get away with it better because they´re cute."

(Joe immediately asked if Cleo was talking about him, Cleo said cute doesn´t come to mind when thinking about Joe, Joe was deeply hurt.)

And I´m so curious who Cleo was thinking about! My best guess is Grian: very sarcastic, often gets away with it, to the point where it´s frustrating to him because he has to remind his audience not to take him seriously. And he is cute.

I caught about half an hour of a Joe Hills stream today, mostly him talking about the Foundation books and series; my favorite moment was when Joe and Skizz both barely but heroically managed to resist making a very obvious "Joe is better in bed than Skizz" joke.
